She's not mentioned the African tribes who sold their own country men, women and children to the slave traders. This is an important part of the story. Not that such a fact diminishes the evil of the other races involved, but should be added- otherwise it is lopsided history.

People either love or hate him? While opinions are certainly divided, that's because people are divisive nowadays. It does sound like his mother loves him, but has a tough time with it.
Read about this in her book. So cool to see parts of it!

I was told ACAR doesn't care if rescues/ fosters shut down. They continually attack rescues/ fosters that provide for animals out of pocket. ACAR main target is other rescues.

As a Great Niece of Mr Lee Walker…I never knew the full story behind my Great Uncle Lee’s passing..I only knew and saw the pain my GrandMother, Luecressie Walker Smith and Great Aunt Robbie Lee Walker Smiley displayed as they would always talk about and cry out in their sleep and they would state the innocence of my Great Uncle Lee and speak of the horrible way his life was unjustly taken… May My Great Uncle Lee Walker, Grandmother, Luecressie Walker Smith, and Great Aunt Robbie Lee Walker Smiley now Rest In Eternal Peace…. Thank you to All involved in this project and making this project a forever legacy of history..Patricia Smith Fields/Granddaughter and Great-niece..

R.I.P. Mr. Bubba Walker, my great uncle who I never got a chance to meet because he was murdered by a rogue sheriff who tried to frame him for murdering the town clerk. My grandmother & great aunt died never knowing the Sheriff was convicted of the crime because they had to leave town abruptly out of fear of retaliation from the town white people. So to anybody saying you could never move forward if we keep looking back has never been victimized. Has never seen loved ones crying from a broken heart for a loved one they never got a chance to say goodbye to. My great uncle never married or had children so amen he was murdered it completely removed his existence. Thank you to this organization and all that you do to bring closure to the victim's & their families.

I am descended from a slave whose last name was Middleton. My ancestors lived and worked on the Middleton plantation. By doing a DNA test I’ve found not only my African heritage ( mostly Nigerian) ; but also European ( English and Scottish) I have to imagine that part came from the slave owners. I will never know who was my great great grandfather. As a result I am very light skinned.

This is a tremendous public safety project that will provide better average response times for the citizens of Alachua. Successful partnership between Alachua County Commission and City of Alachua helped make it happen.

America is our land. We did not come here from Africa. It's a travesty what we've allowed to happen. Not all skin folk are kinfolk. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this woman speaking has European ancestry. If you're black in America and can't pinpoint your African ancestry within the last 100 years then you are a descendant of an American Indian or a European.

I've lived in Gainesville a few years back, And til this very day... The Black man in Florida for some strange reason literally have that mentality that they feel like real men if they're not breaking their backs for the White man!!! And it doesn't matter if they work for that particular White man or not, They call them bossman and the White women bosslady💯 FACTS

Romans 8:28 "God turns everything to good for those who love him." It may have taken many, many years, but God fulfilled his promise. They faced many hardships, many injustices, but God delivered them from it all.

Funny how Black people were described as hard working as long as they were slaves. But as soon as they gained their freedom, they were labeled as lazy. That mode of thinking is still prevalent today.

This was very informative! Thank you for sharing. I hit a brick wall researching my Great granddad's family (he lived here in central Florida). I only know his mother's name was Flora Kelley. I see that Bennett had a sister of the same name. I'll have to look deeper into this. thanks!

They were from Alachua county. They were not part of the Transatlantic insurance scam. Stop showing that tired drawing its a lie. The people placed in that position would not have survived months or even weeks. Bed sores would have developed & ate their flesh to the bone. Bed sores are accelerated by poor nutrition & lack of circulation. Now you go to the local nursing home & see people who are not sitting in pee & poop for months. Watch them get bed sores & see how fast they go from bad to worse. Ya'll need to watch Kurimeo videos.

This is why when the police kill one of us mostly nothing is done to them. Now everything is being revealed and exposeis being revealed. This time their faces and named wiil be expisef.❤😂d and even more and more and
