As a Great Niece of Mr Lee Walker…I never knew the full story behind my Great Uncle Lee’s passing..I only knew and saw the pain my GrandMother, Luecressie Walker Smith and Great Aunt Robbie Lee Walker Smiley displayed as they would always talk about and cry out in their sleep and they would state the innocence of my Great Uncle Lee and speak of the horrible way his life was unjustly taken… May My Great Uncle Lee Walker, Grandmother, Luecressie Walker Smith, and Great Aunt Robbie Lee Walker Smiley now Rest In Eternal Peace…. Thank you to All involved in this project and making this project a forever legacy of history..Patricia Smith Fields/Granddaughter and Great-niece..

R.I.P. Mr. Bubba Walker, my great uncle who I never got a chance to meet because he was murdered by a rogue sheriff who tried to frame him for murdering the town clerk. My grandmother & great aunt died never knowing the Sheriff was convicted of the crime because they had to leave town abruptly out of fear of retaliation from the town white people. So to anybody saying you could never move forward if we keep looking back has never been victimized. Has never seen loved ones crying from a broken heart for a loved one they never got a chance to say goodbye to. My great uncle never married or had children so amen he was murdered it completely removed his existence. Thank you to this organization and all that you do to bring closure to the victim's & their families.
