Will killer instinct still warranty the swat x1 since discontinued?

Like my excalibur crossbows...and stir up ..rested on blind.. keeps limbs away .. yet speed is an issue .. change a string out and you dont need a proshop.. yet everything u shoot..anythimg goes wrong proshop...im gonna stick to excalibur .. i enjoy them.

Hey Death by bunjie . I see you like crossbows. Ive always had a passing interest in them. Never owned one though. Been looking at the bud k crossbows. Any chance of you reviewing them ? Maybe show mods to make them better. I usually miss archery deer season because my stand just isnt suited for bow hunting I do however get to take advantage of ga's black powder only hunting season/week (yes im a black powder nut) and then firearms deer season.

Love my r 29 but hate the lighted nocks,what a pain even with the tool.Bought a american best bow string ( covid) shot about 25 times and it exploded about half way drawn back luckily ,had to send bow to ravin for repairs,thanks america best bowstring.

That Fanati-X will look great beside by Swat X1. Not a fan of cranks! Will replace my Barnett, I've been waiting for the right model at the right price to do that.

Long live iron sights

Been there, crossbows i beleive are way to expensive vs durability and how long it will last. I have remington 700 bdl rifle i paid 500 dollars for 30 years ago. I am starting to wonder, are xbows worth the money for a very short life span.

My micro 340 is really a 330 with a 400gr arrow. Taken 2 deer in the 2 yrs I've owned it.

Bet you might have a decent chance removing those by heating the aluminum with a heat gun. The glue should let go before the plastic melts.

KI makes good bows. Id like to see their return numbers but at that price,, meh. Stop picking on fixed heads bro they work perfectly well.

The Logix 435 rope decock feature is quite nice, & the improvement to the adjustable stock is also great. It doesn't rattle like most adjustable stocks. The integrated crank system is nothing special. If I was shooting a large heavy scope, I would be concerned about the scope mount. It's not going to be as solid as the Swat X1. I've reached the conclusion that companies like KI make so many models of a certain crossbow. The new model exists until it's sold out. Once sold out, it's gone for good! KI sold 18 models in 2024, & they offer 18 models again in 2025. So you're out of luck if you were interested in their popular Swat X1 because it's sold out, but you can still buy less popular models that haven't sold out. I'm not thrilled about that. Marketing hype seems to drive things these days, but it's been that way for quite some time.

Really enjoying this cross bow. My first season (1/2 season) using one. Again thanks for your content… it’s way I purchased this one. Maybe you see this and reply as well. I need to replace this string as the serving is spaced a lot and might as well replace cable at the same time. Do you replace yours with factory or some other brand? Thanks again for sharing your experiences the way you do.

I'm with you on the KI scope. I had to remount my scope on my KI Fuel twice to get it to sight in. That "diving board" bothers me. That seems like a changing sight problem. The built in crank was an initial problem. After three shots, the nylon pull cord came loose at the crank, but was an easy fix. A double knot and heat to keep it reattached and not fraying and it's been fine. It's just those inconvenient things we don't want in the field.

Rich, when you get to producing your CERTIS scope video, would you mind mentioning what warranty will be offered with the scope. Maybe Jim has some idea or can check with his contacts at KI. Thanks!

I love my kI lethal 405 paid 179 on clearance it's a tac hammer that blows through targets and is an efficient killer your right they are for the people

I bought myself the Vital X430 last year because I was able to get a really good deal off eBay when it was released. I absolutely love it, of all the crossbows I have owned over the years and this is the quietest crossbow I have ever owned. I wanted to get myself a new range finder scope for it, but I don't nut enough to pay the funds for it, so the factory one is fine for my needs.

I bought the Killer Instinct Swat X1 from Lancaster Archery and they were discontinued for $800 and the bolts for the crossbow were also discontinued to $35 for 6 bolts. I’m glad that I got a great deal at the beginning of this January 2025. The crossbow fits perfectly. It’s very compact and well balanced with a great design.

Glad you're coming around to k I. Bought a boss a year and a half ago. Extremely nice crossbow. Much faster than advertised. At least mine is. Bumped up to 4 sixty seven, bolt weight. And still shooting four seventeen. Five hundred shots under this original set up. Probably due for new cables and string. But i'm afraid I'll lose my speed, lol. Took my first buck with this set up, this year. On the ground, twenty yards or so out. Freaking amazed, how fast the bolt was on him. So was he. Pretty much a straight on shot, one you're not supposed to take, unless you're extremely confident in your shot. I was extremely amazed at how fast it hit him. As was he. He looked at his left lung/ shoulder area, "' like what the hell was that". I might have been amazed as much as him. Reckon we were both amazed, at how fast it happened. He stumbled off another twenty yards maybe, took a dive, it was over. Not the brute I was hunting, but a d*** nice eight pointer all the same. I guess it's just amazing .How fast these things are. Especially if you stay within your comfort zone. Mine is thirty yards. Don't plan to change that. I know a lot of people are Pushing the comfort zone, especially with these super fast crossbows. Yes, i practice beyond that. Often. But I respect the animal too much, to wonder outside that zone. I might take a forty yarder, if everything's right, and it's a monster. Big munster though. I reckon, in-closuring, just because a crossbow stipulates, it's this fast, don't always mean it's gonna be that fast. Might be slower, or in my case, might be faster. Either way, i hope. With everything getting so fast, we all don't lose respect for the animal we're hunting. Keep it humane as we can, with proper respect to the animal, we're hunting, in the sport we all so desperately love. I just hope it doesn't get too crazy. With all of the speed,😊.

Very sad to see the Swat X1 go. I ended up going with an Excalibur Wolverine, but the SWAT X1 was on my short list. Hopefully the X1 will make a return.

I never considered a KI crossbow. Then I picked up a fatal-x and liked the way it fit me. End of season I found a great deal on one and couldn’t pass it up. Who knows maybe KI will get a ton of backlash over the discontinued Swat X1 and come out with a faster model?

Very good video and I'm glad you talked about the SWAT X1 because it is my favorite even though it has given me problems but its warranty and its comfort For me, moving around in the mountains makes it unique, as it is small, comfortable and light. I think I will follow your advice and take advantage of the fact that many people want to get rid of them and I will buy a second SWAT X1 Crossbow

Interesting to see them get rid of what i considered to be their flagship product. I strongly considered a Swat X1 before buying my Tenpoint.

I own two and a Barnett. The only thing about the KI’s I don’t care for is disengagement of the safety’s are kind of loud.

Got the 1911 converter for my vital x. Order grips but the notch on the bottom leaves a hole you can see through and it doesn't go up high enough.

KI gets their speed using a 370gr bolts.

How do you figure that Excalibur selling so many crossbows that they can't keep up with orders is the sign of a bad economy 😂

Was hoping for a upgraded swat x1 with deckocking and upgrades.. i think killer instinct made a bad decision coing away with the swatt. They went with a longer bigger platform where most every other manufacturer is making something similar to the.swat x1 compact size.. hope ki gets there engineering dept heads out of there a$$ and bring back an upgraded swat x1!

I bought a Vital X a year & half ago. It's slower than the Killer Instinct I traded for it but it's alot lighter. Same arrow setup but only 10 or 12 fps slower. Have a great day

🎯👍, I have a KI Ripper 415 & KI Ripper 425 affordable, fast & accurate, I use a 390 gr tw arrow(2" cut Swhacker)always an exit for me even thru the shoulder blade if I hit a tree after pass thru I can't get my broadhead back I am very interested in that new Logix 435 X cam crossbow with the release let down decock.🎯👍
