Great video, very informative. I was able to follow every step and get it to work. My only issue is that the connection is very slow, and some times when I try to access resources on my home lab it times out. The main usage that Im trying to get out of this, is to be able to access my VSCA server from anywhere and be able to SSH to my VMs using MobaXtern. Both are timing out.

Is this applicable to the raspberry pi 5?

I bought in 2022 and in 2024 the battery is horrible I have barely used this watch, it pauses charging for no reason with any wireless charger, I lost 400 bucks because I don't want to annoy myself just by using this, it looks good but it's a bad choice, I will never buy another smartwatch until there is something that have at least a week worth of battery and it's something decent. Very disappointed.

I purchased a Team group EX2 2GB SSD two years ago from Newegg. Last month it died (still under warranty) and I got an RMA number from them. It arrived two weeks ago, as confirmed by the USPS tracking number. Team Group apparently lost it and is now refusing to honor the warranty, claiming that their US affiliate has to confirm it's arrival, in spite of the fact that the USPS has clearly confirmed it. I reported this to Newegg and they refused to even contact them, claiming that Team Group has to first admit that they lost the drive, something they are refusing to do. I have never seen customer service quite this bad.

For anyone that is behind a cgnat or otherwise is unable to port forward, look into tailscale. Unfortunately i spent way too long trying wireguard until I found out that i was behind a cgnat

For any recent people viewing this, it's important to note that the free version of Davinci doesn't support 10 bit MP4 files. So if you converted your video but it's not working with Davinci, re convert it again, but make sure under the video codec tab, you use codec H-264 and the bitrate is 800 kb/s.

I can connect the VPN but nothing actually works. I tried the “fix” at the end but what’s weird is, when I try to delete the IP of the interface before creating the bridge, it tells me that applications are using it and it won’t let me delete it. It is a bond (two ethernet ports bound together) if that matters.

WHen I try sending a test mail on the intial Mail setup I get the following popup. Email Error: [EFAULT] Failed to send email: [Errno -2] Name or service not known Got any Clues as to whats wrong?

When I log in with admin/admin and enter shared Data, the screen says "You don't have permissions to access this."

Thanks! I was able to get file browser working thanks to this clear video. Is there a way to allow user to also have access to a specific folder outside of their own user folder? Can it be done through rules section? Example, /Data/User01 is the user folder but I'd also like them to access /Data/Files/Documents But only to have read access to this folder.

Pi5 is a massive flop. Too power hungry very inefficient 28nm chip. Rockchip 22nm is the way to go now. RK3566 for mid range and RK3588 for high end. At least they don't need a stupid weird 5v5a adapter.

I think the kits could be worth the money but frankly, better kit would be one that just has the Pi and the power brick for it because frankly, lot of the cases that tend to come in these kits, unless they are the official one, tend to be kinda poor quality ones that cost like 5 bucks on AliExpress

Thank you! When you "Add User" does this name and password have to mach your windows credentials? I have added the share to windows so I can now view the network folder but I cannot write to it by adding folder. The TrueNAS ACL is correct, the "local_user" has read write permissions, the only thing I can see is that on Windows the Folder properties/security "local_user" does not have these permissions and I cannot change them? Does that matter? Is this common issue? On the weekend I will start again, with fresh set-up. Thanks

this actually worked great for me the first 2 days (the day i did and the next) but suddenly my IP address for the nas changed as i had DCHP on and nothing worked, i changed it to a static ip (the original one i used that worked) and still nothing works. Would you maybe know what to do? im very new to all of this! thanks!

Yikes, for 200€ I can get a rpi5 8GB, a geekpi argon one v3 case which is vastly superior to that one since it includes a nvme hat and a PCB to redirect the side ports to the same direction of the other ports and better cooling, a 35W ugreen gan charger and a couple of ugreen HDMI cables. If I go with a cheaper case with a laptop style cooler I can cut 50€ from that so....

Last pi I had and well still have is a 3b+ then they started going up in price to silly levels. I got a refurb Mini Think Centre i5 8gig ram and a 256g ssd for 150 Canadian. It had windows 11 on it and no idea how they did that but it was cleaned and mint installed after I first plugged it in. Not any price incentive for the pi's anymore or at all.
