Jetzt steht fest, daß Richthofen vom Boden aus mit einem MG abgeschossen wurde. Es war ein Zufallstreffer auf ihn persönliich, weniger gezielt als mehr getroffen.. Richthofen hatte einen großen Kampf- und Jagdeifer und er war sehr treffsicher. Natürlich war er ein guter Flieger, der aber weniger auf "Kunstflug" mehr auf den direkten geraden Angriff ausging. Diese Angriffsart war dann im Wkr.2 auch die übliche, während im Wkr. 1 noch der Kurvenkampf gepflegt wurde. Ich denke, daß diese direkte Angriffsart das Erfolgsrezept vom Richthofen war. Die meisten Erfolge hatte er aber mit dem "Albatros" Doppeldecker, nicht mit dem Fokker Dreidecker.

Probably one of my favorite Viking movies. Antonio Bandera’s accent is the only thing that screws this movie up a bit. Spanish accent instead of an Arab accent.

This has been bugging me, I've seen the movie a bunch of times but during the movie I can only ever pick out 12 never see 13. 1- bulvie 2- Arab 3-the Irish 4- herger(little brother) 5- guy in the tree top scout 6-helfane dies in a cave 7-skeld face tattoo 8-the archer 9-big dude takes 5 spears 10- other big dude gets head ripped off 11-guy with breastplate died in first big battle 12-in this video number 9 was one of the ones killed in first encounter But I never see anyone for 13

It has some The Hobbit vibes to it. That was a somewhat divisive trilogy, even if this is only one movie. Like, it's hard to recall the name of dwarves in that movie, and same with the norse in this movie

My parents showed my brothers and I this movie when I was 10. When it got to this part, I ran to my room. 😂 Now, it is one of my favorite movies and holds a special place in my memories.

13:25 Da ist den Produzenten wohl ein Fehler unterlaufen. Den Dienstgrad "Oberbootsmaat" gab es bei der Kriegsmarine nicht. Entweder Oberbootsmann (Feldwebeldienstgrad, Uffz. mit Portepée) oder Obermaat (Uffz.-Dienstgrad ohne Portepée) oder, wohl am wahrscheinlichsten gemeint: Oberbootsmannsmaat (das war ein Obermaat mit zusätzlicher Laufbahn-/Verwendungsbezeichnung, wie eben Oberbootsmannsmaat, Obersteuermannsmaat, Oberfeuerwerksmaat...)

I've always loved the cinematography in this sequence, and how much is conveyed in silence or no dialogue at all. Only the visuals and Jerry Goldsmith's excellent score.

this take is very good. This is the part where the Arabian gets recognized and accepted into the viking group. At 0:06 the director portray this by having the Arabian ride into the group, and into the middle of the formation, making him not an outlier anymore. Before he was always sitting on the side when the group is socializing.

Imagine these guys come riding up to your house, criticizing the poor upkeep and your lack of physical fitness. Look, man, I'm just trying to get through the day here.

This guy should have played Odin in the Thor movies. Would have been far more believable. Hell, if he was young enough, he would have made a damn good Thor as well.
