The animation didn't show how the enrichener circuit provides additional air along with additional fuel. The engine rpm needs to be raised by producing additional torque to overcome frictional losses, fuel condensation drop-out and parasitic drag on the engine when cold. If the throttle blade is not increased, the engine RPM cannot be raised by only supplying additional fuel. It needs extra air also, to produce the torque increase.

Hi AD I have a Mikuni BS 33 cv carb on a 1986 yamaha maxin X I can get good idle, soon as touch the throttle it starts screaming. 5K for a while then tames down to low idle and then shuts off. I turned idle mixture jets closed completely and it stills runs, where is the fuel coming from? Enricher circuit, new boots? Rounds slides don't seem to be moving at that throttle position, I have air cleaner and air box off to see whats going on. Any help on this?? Thx

When I worked at a bike shop one summer, the mechanics would hook up IV bottles of gas to the carbs. Some bikes had 1, 2, or 4 carbs. They would point the exhaust out the door, and rev the holy beans out of them while doing all the carb adjustments to get the idle, off idle, deceleration, full throttle settings all working in harmony. Your ears play as much of a role as the screwdriver during adjustments. Earplugs a good idea.

Hello! Do you think this would work on a bigger tear? Someone stepped on the back of my docs today. They’re a newer set and I only got them this Janurary. The heel and about half of the sole have been separated from the main body, I know that’s a lot to ask of some glue but I’m low on options at the moment

It's the rubber. The rubber price went up and they started putting more plastics mix to make soal. The old ones on the 70s were best. All now sadly are not great soals.. Cost went up so greed profit has to be keapt so they cut back... Its sad but reality.. Most are getting double leather soals put on them..

I've watched more than 100 videos about the working of carburettor.. but this video explained everything without even a single word. now I've understood the working of carburettor and I'll adjust my bike s air screw for best mileage.

Hello, The SMC jumbo atv I have has this carburetor. It works very hard on first start up. When you press the starter 4 or 5 times or when you press the throttle at the start, it rarely works. What could be the reason. It runs more smoothly when the engine is warm.
