I was 6 in 1963. My father had a friend who was a Marine sergeant at the Sub Base in New London. He got into one car with his son and my father with me. I distinctly recall both my father and his friend saying how petrified they were. The biggest fright to them was the nose of the car looked as though you were being driven off the track before it made a sharp turn back again.

Interesting video. I would explore the ruins too but not for another five to ten years when I was in my mischievous teens. The date is interesting too. 9/11 was nine days later.

The Wildcat was in operation through the 1976 season. I know this because I was one of the rider operators that season, mostly on the brakes.

I grew up 3 miles from Crescent Park. This brings back so many memories. Today, the Looff Carousel is all that's left of the park.

I was going to give you guys so much heck for this video because it appeared at first like you had walked in without anyone knowing. But lol yea the racket that place makes would have been dumb if that was the case. Its awesome you captured the old haunted house before the remakes.
