@@CineDailies thanks brother. I cut 2 frames at the end of the clip and 1 frame at the beginning of next clip and then just increase highlights values so the flash gradually starts and fades.

I guess everyone has their style. But seems odd to me to pay almost $1000 for a camera to shoot (film simulation) JPEG's in manual mode ?
@JakubChlouba20 күн бұрын
@@timothykieper The JPEGs with simulations are a nice touch have feature when you just want to let go of editing and create some memories photos from everyday life. The camera ofc shoots raw and is great for street photography, BTS, travel and more. I have bought it in 2020 and been using it since and still absolutely love it so I definitely don't feel a $1000 is a lot for a camera I've put to such a good use:)
@RugbyPass8123 күн бұрын
Be interested in trying one of these for my smaller, non feature length documentaries. I'm curently using the Arri Alexa 35 for our work (mainly National Geographic and such), and prior to this the Arri Amira. Might have to pick a Mavo up and see what it's all about. Won't be until we get back to Britain from the Middle East, but I'd be keen to give one a whirl for some smaller documentaries we have in the pipeline. Great video, definitely caught my interest.
@JakubChlouba22 күн бұрын
@@RugbyPass81 glad you found the video insightful man. I think you might enjoy using on smaller projects as it’s easy to build it up to a very lightweight setup. Next month I will compare it to Alexa LF (just for fun rather than scientific comparison😂) but I’m curious how it will do especially in terms of image quality and colour.
@RugbyPass8122 күн бұрын
@@JakubChlouba I really did, it's a great video and answered a lot of the questions I had regarding the system. Many thanks for that mate. Ahhhh trust me, you'll enjoy using the Alexa LF, absolutely fantastic. It's quite the beast kitted out but the images it produces are stunning. You'll have a blast with it. I've subscribed so I'll be looking forward to that video.

The one simple packable cheap modifier that I always use (but they get NO respect - I think because no manufacturers make any money off them) is the OG Umbrella! Add a diffusion 'sock' and you have a cheap portable quick brolly box. The only downside is no grid control of spill....

This is awesome ! Appreciate your time. What country in Africa are you all filming ? Also One other question, do you have any tips for travel with your gear without paying huge fees for overweight or multiple bags ?
@JakubChloubaАй бұрын
Glad you found value in the video mate! I’m filming in Togo and Benin. I usually travel with 2 checked in bags and 1 cabin bag + 1 under-seat bag. If you don’t want to pay for the extra checked in bag, get a big luggage and try to only bring essentials equipment + a good functional mix of clothes that you cab easily wash in your hand and dry.

Theres connection in Africa. You europeans go to Africa for one reason. Thinking you're looking at poor people. Poverty to you is not having things. They have food, water, clothes, and shelter. But you know little to nothing about your neighbors in your home country. Africans know everyone. Community trumps the necessity for money. That only sounds weird to you, because you have no community where you live. Saying "hi" every now and then isn't community. I knew you'd be a white knight as soon as you said Africa. Where in Africa foo?
