It's interesting to see the big fluctuations in quality on the list. Pretty much like 1/3 of the list is (recent) poppy slop with some being insanely high on the list, but most of the rest of the bands are absolute classics with their own unique sound and have had large influence on the music landscape.

Ah I like seeing Godsmack, Soundgarden, Seether, 3 Doors Down, Alice in Chains and Shinedown on here. I’m actually surprised Audioslave is higher than Soundgarden. Im shocked by how high Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace are. Theres something wrong with Five Finger Death Punch being 40. System of a Down being 16 is disgusting. They’re shit. Nirvana in the top ten makes sense but is still wild. Ah Metallica is just outside the top five. Linkin Park at number two, holy fuck. Ugh fucking Queen is number one. Get out with that.

popular isn't really the right word. sure, survivor is definitely more timeless and legendary, but i prevail is a modern band which inherently means it gets more streams all around, even though none of their songs really come close to competing with survivor's (and plenty of the bands before it's) top songs.

It also depends on the number of albums as a band like iron maiden doesn't have a song with over 500 million listens but they have around 20 albums of songs, so that could be it

I Prevail are more of an album band than a single band, which also explains why even the 9th most popular song has even more streams than the 1st currently most popular one, while besides Eye Of The Tiger and Burning Heart, most of the songs in Survivor's discography have only about 500k-2mil streams each
