Would be neat that for new playthroughs and whatnot, maybe skip just to where you actually get free reign on what you do, so like after you repair claptrap in BL1, after deafeting Knuckle Dragger in BL2 or After the first COV area in BL3.

If you're just gonna swap away and swap back with the flakker, why farm a grip? Go even further... Drop reload means you don't have to worry about mag size nor reload speed so really... Why farm the grip? Foregrip I get, but not like Hyperion or Jacobs or anything, right? Ideally wouldn't the best one be tongue stock, Jacobs grip / tongue grip along with casual?
