All those requirements in just 3 days? That's way too much pressure. SSI is insane... do they realize this does not work for every one? I know a friend who did Aida 2 and he also complained about the short time of the course. He did get the license in the time given but the pressure was so big and the contractions were so bad he never did any freediving afterwards.
@pattravels3 жыл бұрын
You certainly don’t need to do all that in 3 days! We had limited holiday time so that’s why we did it like that... and we were already pretty confident we would make it when we signed up for it. You can (and probably should) take more time. I know people who did it in several weeks. Sorry about your friend... I hope he can get back into freediving at a more relaxed pace.

@@pattravels Ah, ok... Well, no, he's not doing it anymore, for sure. It's the ugliest and most horrific, unnatural, counterintuitive sport for him now. The trauma has really broken him, even in everyday life he is now having problems with all kinds of challenges, whatever they are...🥺

@@jessiecherall5041 oh no... that’s awful! Freediving can be a wonderful sport, but definitely needs to be done at the right pace Thanks for the comments :)

Terrible technique, but great idea.
@pattravels4 жыл бұрын
Nopehahalolwut why terrible?
@MrNopehaha4 жыл бұрын
I don't mean like terrible as in bad, more like you lack finesse: Your technique for cutting the avocado is found wanting, stab the knife into the avo and then flatten the pitch of the knife length wise so it's parallel with the avo, then turn the avocado 360º for a clean and fast cut, then take a spoon and scoop out the avo, place the avo face down on your cutting board and make your slices (much better than your iffy/clumsy technique), bread too big? shove it in the broiler for a nice crunchy toast all the way around (comes out even better than the toaster), egg... add more oil, make sure the oil is very hot, egg down on pan, salt and pepper on top, then fan oil over top of egg to help it cook the top (I know it's over-easy), also when the edges of the egg are super crisp, it adds to the taste, but you can only accomplish this if your oil is very hot when you place the egg on the pan so the edges can be crispy while keeping the egg slightly under-cooked for sunny side up (try this, you will definitely like it). Make sure there's a quarter inch of oil in the pan, so use a smaller pan (preferably cast iron, it gives the egg a better taste). Watching you perform is like watching an 10yr old do this for the first time, that's what I meant by terrible technique, but the idea of the dish is very appealing, I used to scoff at the idea of avocado toast as a WOKE, MILLENIAL thing, but after seeing the finished product, I will try this myself with my own avocados in my yard.

How long can you hold your breath underwater to the max?

My current record for static breath hold (without moving) is 3min13s. It's not a lot compared to most freedivers out there! What about yours? :)

It was really hot in september. How come you felt cold with a 5 mm? Nice finning by the way. And the rescue at 15 also well done.
@pattravels4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! 😊 Yes, it was warm, but my body cools down a lot when doing STA. At the beginning I was fine but after about ~20mins doing CO2 tables I started getting cold. Let me know if you have any tips against this!

@@pattravels Well I guess i haven't any sorry. Maybe it was windy? You actually loose temperature if you stay too much still in the water, maybe i'd feel the same after 20 min without moving. Nice video!
