Thank you! My best advice is to play with lots of air and support. Both of those things require tons of air. Just make sure you play with control

What do you do to get a good a sound like this?

There are multiple things that go into play for it. If you're asking about sound quality, I'd say there are 3 big things. First, lots of supportive air. Take big/deep breaths and slightly engage your core. The second is vowel shape. I play with an OH and AH vowel shape (OH for lower notes, AH for higher. Sometimes EEE vowel shape for very high, but don't confuse that with closing up the jaw too much). The third is an open embouchure that matches the shape of the shank of the mouth piece. If you're more concerned about the slur, it's all about the back of the tongue and the speed of air. Faster air plays higher notes which requires the back of the tongue to be higher. Lower notes require slower air (not less), with lower back of tongue. Hope this helps! Lmk if you have any other questions

In this, I am using a King contra. Any tuba that plays decent should be fine though. They'll provide contras at camps
