Großer wunderbarer Schubert, der leider nur 31 Jahre alt werden durfte.

Is this really what you want to imagine from a composer who has given you so many hours of happiness? Do you really need to imagine such a moment to show what you can do with a computer? What a pity! You should leave the screen and listen to his music. It's free and it heals the soul. By the way, the fragment of the sonata that illustrates this video was composed 5 years after the described action.

He was portrayed like this in a great movie too, so there's that. And I listened to all of his music, believe me.

Besides Beethoven, Schubert was probable Franz Liszt's most impression of . You can judge by the fifty eight transcriptions by. Liszt.

You can tell it is Schubert. He makes the piano sing in a way that no other composer does, even in his very first work.

23:45 - Syphilis is by no means invariably fatal. Many patients survived it, among them Schubert's friend Schober.

It's totally misleading to include the phrase "Manuscript 1826" which implies that this waltz was written down in that year by Schubert (who died in 1828). In fact, of course, it wasn't committed to paper until over a century later!

Is that a painting of Franz Schubert or of Jonathan Biss?
@lovethepianoАй бұрын
There is still debate if this painting is really Schubert. But it's on the CD cover so i leave it at that.

This is a great video. You have selected the D960 second movement as background music, which is very appropriate. I take note of your selected social scenes (where Schubert entertained his friends) which show Schubert's isolation from his friends. And the humiliation from his father in the classroom, whom he desperately wants to reconcile with (his written Mein Traum) Even on his deathbed, he writes a letter to his best? friend Schober, who does not even pay him a visit. So sad.
