Did not like gta5 day one because of the driving physics. Gta4 was so good, and Rockstar is the only developer capable of making a large open world game with those physics. Was very disappointed in gta5, I feel like we lost something special. I hope gta returns to it's roots, or it will be a very long time before we get an open world game with good physics, because no one else can do it.

I just don’t get why GTA V dropped the great physics. I’d rather accept the consequences of totalling or flipping a car than the unrealistic crap we have now.

IMO, the driving physics of San Andreas together with the damage model from IV would be perfect. In SA, vehicles actually had some weight, but it still felt arcade-y enough not to be annoying. Driving in GTA V feels like the cars are made out of plastic and styrofoam, while in GTA IV, driving a car at full speed is just begging to completely lose control of the vehicle.

I think they won't change much in the physics bcz it just works. What i'd hope is they have the common sense to add a turn on/off feature, manual transmission, and for older-ish cars that wouldnt have safety measures to be able to drift and not just try to drift around a corner and end up going to 5 RPM, or the option to turn off the god damn safeties in every car, when you needed to...

Another issue, if you have custom police cars replacing normal ones, they tend to jump up and down with the mod. Thats why i uninstalled it.

what I want from gta 6. VR, I know I'd be at a disadvantage, but that would be my choice, realistic physics for cars and humans, weapons ect.. both steering wheel and gamepad input at the same time to combat when driving and walking.

You have to also think about what could happen on online too. Gta4 was way to extreme and Gta5 is too little car damage would have to be based on how much armor you buy for your personal vehicle, and handling off your upgrades it would make stealing cars off the streets much more of a risk and a last resort and much difficult to get away, the plus side of using cars off the streets means you can ditch them easily but using your personal vehicle would have the cops put it down on record making it easy to spot you if you, if they see you next time

Blood Money also has working elevators, which for a game this old is really impressive! Taking someone out with the fiber wire on top of the elevator was a really cool feature! Also you could customize your guns and unlock perks that suit your specific playstyle!

How would you fail the mission if a mission vehicle gets stuck? easy. If you get too far away from the mission vehicle, the mission fails. It's already a thing in GTA games. :p

I like simulation type, but really GTA isn't for simulation. Although they should give options for it. Manual gears, better physics. For stunt racings admin could change what it will be, arcade or like simulation. Offcourse r* won't add this

Telling the difference between doing a burnout and being stuck climbing a hill or in the mud is simple: Check for brakes being applied. If braking, then burnout - if not braking, then stuck.

Driver SF and all other versions of Driver have far superior driving physics compared to any version of GTA. If you wanna Drive, play Driver, if you want to rob people and beat them up, then play GTA

The only reason i don't play GTA Online is because of the car physics, i've always enjoyed racing the most in these kind of games, but in GTA 5 it feels more like it relies knowing what car to pick, as there's always one that's way better than the rest, and knowing the stage, than actual driving skill. And even if you know all that the rest is luck, luck to avoid getting punted off the road by some jackass as you are braking for a corner and luck not to miss a blind jump. I wish i could just outdrive lesser skilled drivers like i can in most racing games but the game doesn't allow for that, the cars are just too arcadey.

The physics of car crashes isn't like beamng because PS3 and 360 would never be able to handle that on every single car in the players vicinity.

I think It would be cool if they made it so vehicles have a tough in mud and rough terrain. It would make more incentive to have a variety of different vehicles for each situation. Idk interesting thought.

1:03 Its possible to remove tires from vehicles in online, you just need an extremely heavy vehicle that wont blow up the vehicle beneath you like the Chernobog

Blood money doesn't have that annoying detection meter, which became popular in pseudo-stealth games. People should spot you instantly, if you get into their line of sight, unless it's super dark or something like that. It's like NPCs in WoA have serious problems with their eyes or something.

Honestly they should add both options in gta 6 and leave it up to the player to decide which one they want. Mafia 2 had the option to have Simulated driving or a more arcady one like in gta 5.

I can see this kind of mod or physics working really great on SUV and some old cars, most modern cars aren't that floaty, so it kinda wouldnt work for a modern sports car or economy car (like every car in gta 4 was)

Great video with an in depth analysis, but I still prefer GTA 4 on gameplay and even graphics over 5, although I'm not saying that 5 is a bad game, it's just more arcade and RPG styled which isn't bad

For me it's annoying that you go to all the different countries and they all speak perfect English. I find thsg annoying I prefer when they speak different languages. I understand it's part of getting Intel but i just prefer it otherwise
