Been running the lvs62 on my kayak for 2 years now, biggest thing I've learned is how often salmon will feed down! Amazed how often a king will shoot down 30' to hit a lure. One note with the lvs62 is realistically the usable range is about 350', maybe more on very large screen

What if you're in the middle of a lake and don't have Wi-Fi? Why is this better than my i-pilot that I already have and I can control 1/10 of a mph via remote? I set my kicker below my target speed and use my i-pilot to gain up to the 1.9, 2.2, 2.5.... whatever speed I want. So, why is this needed?

I don't not understand how, in 2024, any supplier would ship hardware with a slot screw and plain hex nuts without a lock washer. A Phillips or Allen key on the front side and nylon lock nuts on the back saves me a trip to the hardware store.

Thats awesome man, I didnt even know what those were for all these times in the fishing store. How deep do you gotta run that setup for kings? And do you need downriggers? Haven't done deep lake fishing since a kid

If you don't have downriggers, try running divers. It's a good way to get your lures deep without using downriggers. A lot of people start that way.

I run two dipsys on each side of the boat along with 2 riggers, one dipsy at setting 1 and one at 3 for each side, always let the setting 3 one at least 50ft out more than the setting 1

I’m going to try trolling with the dipys diver in about three weeks once they get the cast off my arm. I kayak fish, I’m running a minn kota 55, would that be too slow for trolling?

Comfirmed charger works with phone, but no lights when fishhawk is place on like described. Are there reports of faulty units? Or is there something i can do to fix it?

@FishHawkElectronics I troubleshooted more and solved it. The initial connection wouldn't happen, for whatever reason. But I was able to solve it by doing the following; I noticed the charger worked as described with any other device, so I allowed the blue light to come on using my phone as a recipient. Once connected I slid the FishHawk unit onto the pad as I pulled the phone off, never allowing the charger to break from it's charging cycle. This initiated the charge to the probe, moisture sensors facing down to the pad. The red light came on and the blue light stayed on. SUCCESS!! Since then, it has connected every time. Not sure what this bug was about, but that was my fix. Initiate charge with a separate device, immediately place probe on charging pad and connection was made. Might be worth looking into. Might also have a fluke of an occurrence. But it took us 3 weeks to burn thru a full charge, while attempting to charge every day with no success until a day ago.

I bought a vintage lamiglas S rod with a sock and rod protector at Goodwill for $25 from 1979 in perfect shape. I don't even fly fish but I liked it and thought it had to be worth more than that. Did I do ok?

should see left over wild fish from the high water mild winter years. last falls low water and warmer shoreline temps kinda worried me and the disappearance of the shoreline steelhead this fall.
