I've been revisiting Black Mesa this past week and I'm obsessed with the military intercom voice. Something I've observed: 1. I think the HECU arrive before the voice changeover and are relaying orders through the normal system by 11:53. They issue a couple more normal bulletins in hopes of flushing out everyone they can willingly. 2. By 12:30 they are trying to issue HECU commands which are getting lost in translation. "Kilo Lima India" mispronounces Lima as Lime-uh, as well as jumbles the letters of an obvious kill order (properly issued at 13:46). 3. 12:40 is where they decide enough is enough, forcibly take control and start issuing commands directly.

When I was younger I didn't understand the concept of Shadow Company or PMCs, and why we we're suddenly fighting soldier's with American patches. I knew they were total badasses but there was also something very unsettling about their presence. I still felt bad for killing them.
