The "America Under Siege" theme is done really well in MW2. They really went out of their way to make the communication of US forces and topography of the american maps accurate. It's pretty close to a typical american suburb.

Probably the worst, most unrealistic and unbelievable part about all this is _how_ Russia got their forces over to DC, but it's very surreal and rather visceral to the point that you can almost forget that entirely; ignoring Russia got there, these levels in MW2 are arguably some of the best in the entire series.

Can you just imagine being deployed in the middle East or somewhere (and I've never seen combat or anything), and when you get back to your FOB you hear that your country has been invaded while you were away. For everyone confused: Broken arrow has TWO meanings. Most commonly, it means a unit is overrun and, in a nutshell, is signaling for any support to target their position in a last ditch attempt; usually this means they are as good as dead. Secondly, it means there is a missing nuclear warhead, eg its position has been lost. Both are valid. But in MW2 the former is being used

me: feels bad listening to this me later: so after doing all the correct numbers and calculations. the US in an actual mirrored conflict would have kicked russia out of the US within a month, destroyed its attacking navy, redeployed the MIM-23 HAWK AA systems with the help of redeploying the F-22 wings. activating the reserves of F-14s, F-15s, F-16s and using the F-18s on land. to regain air superiority. If russia came from the North, then the US would have Annex Canada for wartime meanings. and if the situation in DC was hard enough, Mexico would also be annexed for the emergency need for factories, workers, conscripts, and resources. If Canada wishes to work hand in hand with the US then it most likely will not be Annexed. but Mexico will. As stated in the Rio Treaty, an attack against one country in the Americas is against us all. Mexico was part of other treaties so it didnt join the defensive pact or dropped out. this would mean if other countries did not stand with the US at that time, then the other countries in South America would become a major threat as staging points for Russian and their 2 allies. further annexing the regions as generally just bringing them in by force to talk about defense and forcefully working with the US rather then being invaded anyways. As the US and Canada are part of NATO, and NATO doesnt join in, then the US will call out to its very close Non-NATO allies. Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Philippines. South Africa. Afghan, Isreal, ect. These countries most likely would react, as they have USAF bases in them. and would be attacked by russia. SO. in the short-haul of it all. russia would never get away with the BS of attack a non-nato ally or NATO members. or even any country within the Americas (N or S). im waiting to see how cluster fucky things will get when Ukraine joins NATO. and the shit thats already happen when India wanted to join NATO ticked off Putin alot.

As soon as the Russian invasion is confirmed, poor Russian radar operators would shit their pants as every American bomber and nuclear attack sub launch cruise missiles.

1:15 "The ROE Prohibits engaging enemies in close proximity to civilians" If they only knew the Russians would NOT be respecting the rules of war and literally commit genocide, if Goliath knew that, they would have allowed that attack and perhaps change the ties of the battle. One of the reasons why the USA lost this battle was because they didn't want to attack enemies in residential areas were civilians might be thinking the Russians would have done the same.

I can confirm this radio chatter is all very accurate and very realistic. The development team did an amazing job on this. Very impressive. 9 lines. Call for fire. All of it. 👌🏼👍🏻

That's probably Air support or FOB. For example, Goliath is clearly a Callsign for An F-35 or SEAD ops. So, yk, from the safety of their jets or base, they don't really have to be in shock...

I know it's a little late but at about 0:29 the soldier is yelling "broken arrow, broken arrow" not "look it out, look it out". Broken arrow is the alert for a US position overrun by the enemy and requesting fire support directly on or danger close to the overrun US position.

That would be an absolute nightmare to be in. Very angry Russians + Americans forced to defend their homes = hell on earth. It would make WW2 look like a football game.

that position of him being a general and commanding of all us forces needs to stay calm at all times even the situarion is becoming critical. he need to boost the morale of the soldiers. one another reason of him being stay calm in the radio because he's out of warzone or frontlines.
