Doubtful. Before you believe this stuff you are going to have to have many witnesses. Do you know that in recent years Lindgren has said that during the NCAA XC Championship you could make up being behind by a half mile with 3 miles to go by "sprinting as hard as you can." That story was in print, and I had teammates that would tell me during a mile race to "sprint to catch up." I'm talking about the best runners on the team who believed this nonsense and it was because Lindgren actually said things like that! Try to find an indepth, long interview of this guy! Good Luck!

Lindgren, having the experience of 8 years in high school and college, brilliantly ran the entire last lap on the outside of lane one. How many extra yards was that? 10, 20, and perhaps even 30 extra yards, since they ran the last 150 wide of the curb? And he lost by 8 yards? Maybe Lindgren was more than just crazy, he may have just been plain stupid!

The African American community will support this cheat no matter what, see her previous record and the magical improvement on it, see how her voice changed during the latter half of her career, her coach was a known drug cheat/provider. There was 1% testing when compared with today’s standards. You will still support her cause of her skin colour, that’s disgusting.

In 1977 his best year he was absolutely stunning especially in the World Cup with John walker. Ovett’s kick from 200m was 11.9 on the bend for that 100m astonishing 😮 The Olympics just came 1 year too early for him in 1976 and matured into a man in 1977

Ovett was a dam good all round runner from 800m to a half marathon. Very versatile champion at 800m & 5000m. He came from a 400m background in the English schools championships and then moved up to 800m the mile. He always had decent basic speed from a kid. Add that endurance hence the almighty kick we saw many times.

Robinson never provided evidence for his claims and was shunned by the athletic community, leading to a premature end to his career. After the 1988 Olympics, Florence Griffith Joyner retired from competitive sports, a year before mandatory random drug testing was introduced in 1989. It has been tested multiple times during competition and has passed every test. After her death in 1998, Prince Alexandre de Merode, chairman of the International Olympic Committee's medical committee, claimed that Florence Griffith Joyner had been singled out for extra, rigorous drug testing during the 1988 Olympic Games because of rumors of steroid use. But Merode told The New York Times that Manfred Donike, who was considered the top expert on drugs and sports at the time, had not discovered any banned substances during the testing. The World Anti-Doping Agency was created in the 1990s, taking control of drug testing away from the IOC and De Merode. But Merode later stated: "We have done every possible and imaginable analysis on it. We have never found anything. There is not the slightest suspicion.....

I was there. It was always great to see JW win his races like that. I didn't remember the fact that he had just come from Milan which made it more impressive. Crystal Palace before they built the stand on the back straight. So many memories of that place especially the Coca Cola meetings and of course the night when Bedford broke the world record
