I am sure you could adjust it in full auto mode but I wouldn't and from what I remember the manufacturer does not recommend it.

That is because the other settings (M & auto) are pretty standard with all lenses.

8:56. Thank you. I have been fighting for years and all my shots have been just a bit off in focus. I had used the USB Hub to adjust it but without luck. Until I heard that one comment, "it only works when you go to the option you programed in". Here I had turned it OFF this whole time. After hearing your comment... Well lets just say. Thank you. C1. I have watched many videos on this lens and never heard anyone mention this before.

Hello I have other FujiFilm DX100 and De100 printers. My experience is that the heads get clogged if the room is too dry. It has underfloor heating so the air is dry and this is the reason why these printers get clogged. It took me a long time to find the problem. The solution turned out to be trivially simple - for 3-4 years I have been using an air humidifier with humidity set to 55%. During this time none of the printers I have had clogged nozzles. Check it out, maybe it will work for you too. Best regards Arek

Thank you, yes we are in a dry area. I'm now on my 5th or 6th printer for various reasons. The most recent one is not having near the clogs that I had on the first one.

What my question is how can I scan where it doesn't crop the film? Part of the photos themselves don't get scanned. And I'm not talking about the borders either.

Sounds like you have it set to thumbnails. Take it off a thumbnails and manually crop.

These are sophisticated computers that take pictures and photographers don't need 300 settings. Computer people seem to. Finding the necessary settings, then an editor, then a printer, then...

You need to remove the white insert that is under the top when you are trying to scan negatives and slides. Then put it back when scanning prints.
@amargosaranch7794Ай бұрын
@@firstchoicephoto That comes off, Maybe peels off? I use that as a scanning background 99.9% of the time, so am hesitant to remove it. I have never done a negative before, so am asking. Will it easily go back into place? Many Thanks for your helping with this! Jim
@firstchoicephotoАй бұрын
No it does not peel off, it slides off to the top. You should see a handle at the top of the white. Then lift it up. Email me and I can send you a picture.

You could do cartoons with that first voice you did!! I have a question, I read on a site where a museum used some product on photos with mold. We had it in my old house and I’m so allergic to it I stopped breathing. I am a single mom and can’t afford to pay someone to do them and anytime I get near any of it I can no longer breathe anymore. so do you know what product this is because I will almost risk it just to save my photos cause I don’t have photos of my daughter as a baby because we didn’t have phones back then. Well we did but not like we do now. Even my wedding pics can’t be replaced
@firstchoicephotoАй бұрын
I do not know any type of chemical or spray that can be used on photos to stop the growth of mold once it has started. For sprays that are out there for mold I cannot see them being photo safe so I would NEVER try them. I do know some restoration companies use high doses of ozone for various treatments (smoke damage being one). But I don't know if ozone will stop the mold and also it's dangerous to try to do yourself.

Can you save different values for lens focus calibration in the c1 and 2 so if your trying to clibrate the lens focus you could set a different value on c1 and c2 and then go out in the field and see which one seems sharper etc
@firstchoicephotoАй бұрын
That would be great but no. C1 & C2 only adjust the way the lens focuses NOT the calibration. Shoot from a window at home and adjust it the best you can then go out and try in the field.

Ummm... you clearly dont do the used thing much man. Ive been buying and selling used gear for literally decades. These are generally only winning tips if the deal isnt good. Guess what, with camera gear, if the deal is good, they probably do already have a list of people who want it. You are advocating the paranoid approach, thos scares honest good sellers away. If a swller has a good deal and they know it, they dont have time for dealing with this. Generally speaking, the better the deal is, the worse your advice is. The real trick is to learn to judge people, and do solid quick basic testing and assessment, not to go out, meet the seller, take some pics, go home, analyze them, go back out... people like that are tire kickers
@firstchoicephotoАй бұрын
Hard to judge people when many don't want to even meet the buyer. That is why I say meet, test and decide.

What are you thoughts on Lossless PNG files
@firstchoicephoto2 ай бұрын
My scanners don't offer a PNG option, but they do have several other settings. For example, there's a bitmap setting, which I don't recommend for photos. As well as JPEG, multi-page TIFF, PDF, and print image matching for both JPEG and TIFF. If you're looking to preserve all the detail without any loss, TIFF is your best bet. Personally, I’m not a fan of using PDFs for photos-they work but can be cumbersome. I typically prefer JPEG. While there’s a slight loss in quality, it's barely noticeable for most purposes.
