JJ date-code P226 representin’- I missed the sexy bevels by a few months, but my 1982 P6 is bevel-icious. But I empathize with your sojourn… I had a similar obsession with finding a 5906 with adjustable sights, a round trigger guard and a black hammer/trigger. Because that’s what Mulder and Scully carried. Thanks for the video!

If someone decides they want to mod their USP, like swapping out the standard for a threaded barrel, the serials will be different. Normal stuff.

The reason the slides broke was because Winchester sent large shipments of defective nato ammo that were loaded to proof pressure or 2x. This ammo was used on the guns and battered them to death. The army blamed the guns but beretta sued and won for damaged reputation which persists to this day. The gun is fine with 9mm +9 or nato rounds.

I’m a retired Army 11H/11BB4 and was in the Gulf War. I was in D co. 2/502 INF, 101st ABN DIV from 1986-93 and during the war we wore our regular black boots or jungle boots. The M9 was a cool knife but it was a huge pain in the butt to carry them on our LBE and we rarely used it for anything other than stabbing things.

The 229 date codes start AB in 1992 and go AC, AD so forth. And on the inside of the grip panels and bottom of the mag have the dates. I have a 95 model that all numbers are the same. I love old metal Sigs

There are plenty of people who fix FP lasers. I have had multiple FP peq 15s and peq 15As. The thing is that in the modern world an IR laser is only useful if you are fighting people who do not have NV. Problem there being that everyone has NV now.

I have a West German P226 & a P220. If you haven’t seen it yet, there’s a Guntuber on here Ferrari Steve. He’s done a pretty comprehensive video series on taking a shooter grade P226 and transforming it into a Legion like clone. I did it to both of my pistols and they’re smooth like butta! Only thing I haven’t done is send them in to Sig to slick ‘em up a tad further. I remember the good old days working in an LGS in my late 20’s and selling 226’s and 92FS’s and not having the financial resources at the time to purchase either one. Now in my late 50’s, I’m an Sig and Beretta fanboy of vintage DA/SA pistols. And by all means…. SHOOT the damn things! So satisfying to be able to master these guns as opposed to striker-fired specimens. Great video and welcome to the club!😎

Just what I needed to know. I did the exact same thing as you. TF serial. I'm keeping my 320 though. Try the Wilson combat grip. I went from a small Sig grip frame to the wilson and it's a totally different gun. Way better, it's shockingly better.
