This is great Jamie! Thank you so much for making such a well researched and produced video. Bravo! Btw, what you think of Trading212 card? Seem's pretty good, true interbank rate, no fees and cashback

Nice video. Fun to see some footage of my old home town Gouda. Although I have to say, that opening rooftop shot was possibly the worst angle anyone could possibly have picked. You cant even see the old townhall from that angle. Cycling is so easy, if the weather is nice and I want to visit friends or family, I would rather cycle 30 kilometers than take the bus or a car. Its good exercise and because of the seperated bike lanes you can go at a good speed without having to constantly slow down and watch out for traffic, if you follow the bike routes like the video explained. Would you rather drive for half an hour or bike for an hour and a half on a sunny day, if you dont have to worry about dangerous traffic? Easy choice for me.

Tourists, be careful on the Latvian coast or don't go at all, because the entire Latvian coast has been declared a protected zone, the police hunt tourists and hand out fines from 100-1000€. In many places, the protected area is not marked with any warning signs, thus creating a trap for tourists.

Loved the video! How can one find bike paths that are segregated from traffic, especially ones that travel alongside canals or under a tree canopy? Is there any tool and capability within Komoot or a similar service to find segregated paths?
@janwanders3542
@janwanders3542 Ай бұрын
The segregated paths are allmost everywhere outside cities. Just in low trafic areas not. No needs to worry it is safe everywhere. Cars drive responsible because they are liable if an accident occurs. And most of them are also bikers. There are also a lot of special bikeparhs. Through all the forest, dunes etc. It is a paradise for bikers.

I agree that content matters more. In the end you could also use your phone or an old backup phone to record audio with a lav mic. But the Zoom sounds quite better. The battery issue could have solved by buying 4 or 8 lithium AAA batteries that can be recharged directly with a usb cable without a dedicated battery charger. Also the Zoom can be powered by a power bank. Although the Sony recorder is smaller.

They make rechargeable batteries. The Panasonic NIMH batteries are amazing. I’ve used them for years.

I was both in den Helder but live in Canada now for 70 years. In 1975 I borrowed my uncles bike and made a month long round trip. Cycle to a city, get a "pensioen" and walk the city. Next day repeat. It was a trip of a lifetime.

Is using this card better than using a UK Chase debit card, which pays 1% cash back on what you spend?

I’ve just returned from a holiday in The Netherlands. I love the country and have visited many times, but it was my first trip there where I had the opportunity to experience the cycling infrastructure. As you’d guess it was a liberating experience. It feels to me like a perfect vision of the future. I only got a brief taste of cycling but I can’t wait to get back and really explore properly on two wheels. The UK should be ashamed in comparison, but car ownership is still seen as a status symbol here for some reason.

You missed putting up Greymouth the capital of the West Coast more than twice the population of Hokitika, The Blowholes halfway between Greymouth and Westport are Brillant, Lake Matheson halfway between Franz Joseph Glacier and Fox Glacier is Brilliant, Lake Brunner north east of Greymouth is a nice lake, Reefton on the West Coast was the first place in NZ to get Electricity going, They started getting electricity going on August 1st 1888, They took three days to get the whole town running with electricity on August 4th 1888 it was completed.

When you make a reservation ahead for example: January 2024... you get huge discounts for booking ahead of time... in other words prices are way cheaper, due to there are not demand... What these companies do is to book themselves at a cheap price and secure those prices for us. While making profit for themselves... Hope I helped ;)

It's usually actually quite relaxed at Disneyland Paris. You just shouldn't go in summer, because that's when most people will want to attend the park, as the summer months are when the weather is relatively sunny in Northern France.

I use an irig lav mic (designed for smartphone headphone jacks) into an old ipod touch. super small and no one is intimidated if I ask if I can put an ipod in their pocket. Built in battery ... but they're getting pretty old now not sure I'd get many hours ... but works for me.

Hi Jamie, thanks for this video. I have purchased a zoom h1n for dialogue for weddings, but it seems to get a"breeze" what setting did you have it on ? As the audio quality from your recorder seems to be better and not getting this noise. I would be grateful for a advice.
