Just re-discovered this one, gets more stunning and awesome with time. And I still got this on clear milky vinyl since it came out. This needs spinning on my turntable more often:-).

The opening track is one of the most meaningful compositions I've ever heard. And the album "Into the Autumn Shade" is a masterpiece of extreme metal! Excellent playlist, congratulations! \m/

Probably an unpopular opinion but for mine, as much as I love the sludgy guitars, the subtle keyboards really complete the sound. Surprised more metal bands don't so this or use Taurus Moog style foot pedals to increase the heaviness and bring in some different textures to complement the guitars.

I bought that CD off Nuclear Blast somewhen during the time Doom/Death was king in the earlyish or mid 90s. It just doesn't get old.

I'm just getting into Funeral Doom after ignoring it for years thinking it was boring because it is slow, but I was wrong. So far I listened to Thergothon, Funeral, Ahab, Skepticism, Evoken and Mournful Congregation and I'm loving the subgenre so far, the title track of this album is one of the best I've ever heard, it literally brought me to tears.

i can't believe that this album was released 25 years ago. i first listened to this album around 2001/2002 and it still sounds fresh to my ears whenever i listen to it.

One of their best albums. I've always felt like this is what Radiohead would sound like if they went prog, it's got that kind of vibe to it.

Didn´t expect the Megadeth riff at 15.00.
