@davidriegner2967 you are absolutely right and I stand here corrected and as the asshole. I’m working on that! Thanks for the video. In fact t I bought one of these today and it’s a great jack for the price indeed. It lifted and held my old Road King Classic (about 850 pounds I have a batwing fairing on mine) with ease. Mine even came with clasp down straps in the box which was a nice surprise. Keep the rubber on the road and your knees in the breeze sir. ✊🏻
@BigNordАй бұрын
Center of gravity is your engine and tranny dead lower middle of the bike (where it's sitting on the jack) the YT jack reviewers and comment posters who say "I'm worried about taking a tire off" simply don't understand basic gravitational forces. You can take a tire off on this or most any jack and the bike ain't going to seesaw folks! Common sense is no longer so common. Watching this video made me cringe my man what a pain in the ass with all those straps and back and forth. Set it lift it good to go. When you moved your bike and then caught one one of your straps and then knocked over your other things I though it was all going D O W N for a moment there ha ha!
@davidriegner2967Ай бұрын
I used the Harbor Freight pull to tighten straps so that I can move the bike easily while it's on the jack on my uneven garage floor. And you learn by making mistakes, no straps on the ground.

Exact video I was looking for as I’m getting ready to pull off my first direct drive wheel (been riding street bikes my whole life). So thank you. I would like to offer an alternative to punching out the axle though. Personally I’ve always used a long 3/8” or 1/2” drive extension (depending on axle size) to punch axles. They work great because the will catch the spacer and have almost a zero percent chance of screwing up threads after you remove the nut. I prefer the impact extensions and will use a rubber mallet with them. They also work great for reinstalling the axle and holding the spacer in place. $10 for a 4 pack. Harbor Freight. 7:28
@davidriegner29672 ай бұрын
Yes that is a better idea with the extension . And I have also learned from feedback that to remove the whee, l lower the bike down onto ground level take tension off the axle and then drive it out then raise the jack to remove the wheel

Question about the jack placement. Did both pads hit the frame or is one of them hitting the bottom of the motor. My harbor freight jack doesnt seem wide enough to miss hitting the motor
@davidriegner2967 Жыл бұрын
Do you have the same jack?
@davidriegner2967 Жыл бұрын
I don't fully understand your question, but I believe it's about how the jack without the adapter goes under the bike, yes the jack will hit the motor. That is why I made the adapter along with the frames being different heights under the bike. Here's a video on the adapter but it is not my best video it was done as a request of someone else. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ravdpHSPra6Ah5o
