👍The 90 minute talk made a FOOL of his "Science can account for everything" claim @ 1:03:27... Science also can't account for why I could still hear Dr Atkins AFTER Dr Craig dropped the mic 😎🎤

Just think for people who believe in God, how can this gobbledegook, bullshittery by Dr Atkins convince them of anything apart from the obvious fact that Dr Atkins is a very sad, deluded and silly man? Like anyone is gonna listen to his +ve and -ve charge crap and go, well hell now I just know there no way in the world that HE exists?

I began watching this with a preconception about Dr Craig. He surprised me with his understanding, humility, knowledge and intelligence. By the end of the debate I was a in open-mouthed admiration of him. This is by far the best demolition of Dr Atkins of the several I have seen before.

Most of the people are against Dr. Atkins, but I believe in the future the society will evolve and likely science will be able to explain the origen of the universe, the life and many other things. By that time, religion will be history. We have to recognize we are animals and our brains can't understand everything, in the same way animals can not comprehend quantum physics.

I find it hilarious when atheists argue that the etymology of the term "atheism" is "a-" (denoting without) + "theism" (denoting god-belief) because the term "atheism" *predates* the term "theism" by nearly a century. That *cannot* be the etymology. Sure, they can stipulate any meaning they like because language is descriptive and not prescriptive. However, that doesn't alter the fact that they *_DID_* redefine the term.

Dr. Atkins simply doesn't understand, it pretend not to understand, anything of the points Dr. Craig is making. Paul said it best 1900 years ago people suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them for God has made it plain to them. How proud do you have to be to state outright that science can explain everything. He didn't even understand when Craig pointed out that that's not a scientific statement.

It is shocking that Dr Atkins is so poorly educated in other fields like history, philosophy and other branches of science. For example, He really made a fool of himself in not understanding the principle of how Occam's razor works and misapplying it repeatedly even after being corrected. I mean this is very basic undergraduate stuff...inexcusable.
@bigdave1579 Жыл бұрын
Dr. Atkins admitted in his opening statement that science cannot account for the origins of the universe, life, and consciousness, but then proclaims science explains everything. He is in contradiction to his own thesis. Yet, he professes himself to be wise. Now, where did I read an explanation for Atkins’ thinking? I think I read something about this in a first century A.D. publication by a Jewish scholar named Saul who was Paul who put stylus to parchment and said-“Although they claim to be wise, they became fools.”

It’s interesting how the atheist still claims this ‘God of the Gaps’ which is exactly what they themselves do, it’s the ‘science of the gaps’ the ‘time of the gaps’ as well as their ‘evolution of the gaps’ they are claiming that science will answer everything. Most of the athletes arguments are just that. Evolution requires a self replicating cell. A replicating cell requires evolution. This to them is ‘science’ its called circular reasoning. Another thing they accuse theists of doing. Atheist project most of their own flaws. Here Atkins is pointed out that he is using circular reasoning in his own books. He doesn’t even try to address it. So smug. These atheists brought more people to God with their hatred shown by their insults and their dishonesty shown by their strawman arguments, special, pleading and circular reasoning. It’s just sad. Then they have Sam Harris as their moral leader. Lol basically do whatever he says and it will lead to human flourishing and the ends justify the means.
