This was pretty much when you knew America was dead. When it was all about race or gender. That's when that stuff started. It's all been downhill since then, with everything getting worse and worse. Quality in products you buy just get worse, service in stores and restaurants get worse, and your fellow man no longer trusts one another. Trust and social cohesion are important if you want to have a strong society. Now look at us today. Never been more divided, and crime destroys our cities. Homelessness, junkies everywhere, fentanyl addicts doing the zombie walk, and so on. Everything just gets worse because of "diversity hires." What a sad end for this country.

Handed Mondale his butt. Almost lost all 50 states. My older sister was born on this day. Mondale ran an ineffective campaign that was extremely out of step with the times. Democrats went further to the left than the previous presidential election and the country was doing the opposite.

I grew up with these 2 men and Carol Marin. Pam Zeckman would make the mobsters run away. She was 5'2. But, she had the respectability of the CBS NEWS. all of that is gone.
