Hi. Thanks. I just got the same board and got the truetone 1-spot with six iso outs. Question, I only use 5 pedals so I have room to spare and put the power supply on top of the board. When you put the velcro on the pedals, do you put 2 strips on to line up with the fuzzy velcro on the board on all of them?...or could I just use one long strip running the legth of the pedal. I'd lose a little in width but gain in that some pedals cover two slats and some only reach and cover half of a slat.

Very helpful review, made my mind up completely on this model. I want it mainly for lap steel and the option of being able to get a clean output with plenty of volume and reverb sealed the deal.

This is super frustrating. My Aetos 100% does not fit under my PT Classic Jr., and it’s by an incredibly small margin. It has to go on top because it literally doesn’t fit anywhere underneath.

Does the board fit in the case while the pedals are on it? Thanks!

Hi yes the pedalboard fits nicely in the bag. I still use the bag and it’s doing the job really well for me! I’ve had a hard case and pedal trains “extra” padded case. I prefer this one for my needs. The others were to much hassle and could be better designed especially the “extra” padded bag.

The power brick actually powers 9. I forgot to mention the 3 prong input it has. I use that one to power the canyon delay. And the switcher pedal is powered by the neunaber pedal. Sometimes I’ll also use the extra input on the tuner pedal to power another.

How you deal with noise (if you have?).
@soundwave1892 жыл бұрын
I used to use a radial stage bug sb-6 isolator which I liked a lot. But in an effort to lighten my pedalboard I got rid of it. Having quality patch cables and guitar cables helps eliminate a lot of noise. That’s where the annoying noise came from for me. But there’s a natural noise that comes through when I turn on my OD pedals. I just work with and it’s not noticeable while I’m actually playing which is most important. So the problem is fixed when I disengage them after playing. Hope that helps

Can I run standard pedals off of the 2 high outputs or do they have to be power hungry pedals. In other words, can I just run all 8-9v pedals?
@soundwave1893 жыл бұрын
Yah you can run standard 9v pedals off the high outputs. The high mA rating on those outputs is there to let you know your Ma power hungry pedals would be powered best there. So like Styrmon pedals are notorious for requiring high amount of mA to run properly. If I had a strymon pedal I would look to use one of the high outputs. Voltage is a separate thing as well. But that is easier to pair. 9v pedal goes with 9v. 12v goes with 12v and 18v goes with 18v. Hope that helps.

It can be seen in the videos of the presentations of the time, between the keyboards of Simon Brenner. If I'm not mistaken it was one of the instruments (along with a Wurlitzer piano) with which he began to compose the first Talk Talk songs with Mark Hollis.

Hey Jonathan, thank you for sharing your buildup! Is this your only or main pedalboard? I am about to order the Pedaltrain Metro 24 to build my first pedalboard. I think the smaller footprint will make it more portable if need be. Best wishes!
@soundwave1894 жыл бұрын
Martin Hinze Hi 👋 Martin! This is my main board that I have together all the time. I have a smaller one from OnStage that’s about the same size as the metro 24. I just wish the better power bricks were more affordable for smaller boards. But I use it when all I need are about 4-5 pedals. But this one really isn’t heavy. With all my pedals on it, it probably weighs about 12-15 pounds at the most. But it’s all preference. I hope it turns out awesome! 🤙🏽
@Martin236734 жыл бұрын
@@soundwave189 Hey Jonathan, glad to learn you are using your board a lot! Thank you, there are still some things to be figured out.. I am thinking about getting the Eventide PowerMAX, which should fit underneath the Metro. 15 pounds is not too much. I am also concerned about space, because some venues are ridiculously small..
@jonnyfive50004 жыл бұрын
Martin Hinze oh wow the power max looks like a great option. Have you looked into Truetone 1 Spot pro CS6? It is a little “barebones” compared to the power options of the powermax. But I have had nothing but a good experience with Truetones power bricks. I’ve owned the cs12 and the cs7 and they were always reliable. They are all isolated and are able to run digital and analog pedals with no issue. That’s true, the footprint is important. Where do you see yourself using your board for the most part?
@Martin236734 жыл бұрын
@@jonnyfive5000 Thank you for your feedback, this small discussion really helps me to figure out my needs. I will use the board 97% or so of the time in my living room, so size is actually not so crucial. I just like downsizing things and that's why the Pedaltrain Metro line appeals to me. However, I am tending towards the Classic Jr. Created a stencil of its size and some future pedals and everything seems to fit fine, just the Wah would need to stay off (so maybe better Pedaltrain Classic 1, note sure yet). Also like the slope. Which size did you chose? Thanks for the tip, never heard about Truetone power adapter before, looks great for 'standard' pedals. The thing is that I am already eyeing some power hungry pedals from Strymon, Boss, Earthquaker etc., so I like the concept of a power adapter that can feed about any pedal with any of its outputs. :-)
@soundwave1894 жыл бұрын
Martin Hinze glad to help :) I chose the Pedaltrain Classic Jr w the soft case. Yah I hope the power supplies keep giving more options and keep getting slimmer. I didn’t mention it in the video but my walrus Aeros has a plug for a pedal that needs its own power supply. My EHX canyon delay is one of those pedals. So that was super handy to have.

@soundwave1894 жыл бұрын
*Correction, you can plug in your ipad or any device with a 3.5mm jack to play music through this. Works great for practicing or jamming to backing tracks. Steve Cooper no it doesn’t allow for any sound to go thru it. I bet there’s probably a portable amp out there that allows for that tho.
