Hi. Thanks. I just got the same board and got the truetone 1-spot with six iso outs. Question, I only use 5 pedals so I have room to spare and put the power supply on top of the board. When you put the velcro on the pedals, do you put 2 strips on to line up with the fuzzy velcro on the board on all of them?...or could I just use one long strip running the legth of the pedal. I'd lose a little in width but gain in that some pedals cover two slats and some only reach and cover half of a slat.

@@soundwave189 so I was playing a lot of bedroom pop but walrus makes me want to play more ambient and psychedelic stuff. Also I'm curious is the canyon working with the aetos for you?

@@lamelamelame8 Walrus makes me want to do the same haha. Ambient and more worship type stuff. I just picked up the ACS1 and messing around with it little by little. Want to make it my own in terms of sound and what not. The canyon is working great once I used its power brick and plugged into the "3 prong" type input the walrus aetos has. It would turn off and on with certain settings when plugged into any of the standard 9v inputs.

are you having issues with noise with putting the aetos power supply underneath the pedals like that?

Can I run standard pedals off of the 2 high outputs or do they have to be power hungry pedals. In other words, can I just run all 8-9v pedals?
@soundwave189
@soundwave189 3 жыл бұрын
Yah you can run standard 9v pedals off the high outputs. The high mA rating on those outputs is there to let you know your Ma power hungry pedals would be powered best there. So like Styrmon pedals are notorious for requiring high amount of mA to run properly. If I had a strymon pedal I would look to use one of the high outputs. Voltage is a separate thing as well. But that is easier to pair. 9v pedal goes with 9v. 12v goes with 12v and 18v goes with 18v. Hope that helps.

Hi yes the pedalboard fits nicely in the bag. I still use the bag and it’s doing the job really well for me! I’ve had a hard case and pedal trains “extra” padded case. I prefer this one for my needs. The others were to much hassle and could be better designed especially the “extra” padded bag.

I have this pedals and bit confused as to what is effective chain. Tuner,78 distortion, California Joyo, super chorus, tc mini delay, sonic stomp,noise suppressor,compression sustainer & pocket metal muff. I need anyone to assist me, please truly new to electric guitar.
@soundwave189
@soundwave189 4 жыл бұрын
Tuner is good to have first, sonic stomp can be 2nd. Compressor can be 3rd or at the end of your chain before your noise gate. (See which you like the most) I like my compressor after my tuner and before my overdrive and distortion. Next I like putting my Timmy (lower gain/ transparent OD) before my heavier OD and distortion. I’d try placing the metal muff before your distortion first. If you combine these pedals(mix them around to see what you like the most) some don’t mix well and some do. After all that I place my modulation pedals( chorus, flanger, phase) next. Then place your delay after. Then your reverb. Noise gate could be put last. That will help cancel out any noise from all your pedals. Lmk how it goes! Here’s an outline: Tuner-> Sonic Stomp->Compressor-> OD->Distortion/Fuzz/Muff(can switch around these if you use them at the same time)-> chorus ->delay-> reverb ->(compressor can go here as well)->noise gate.

This is super frustrating. My Aetos 100% does not fit under my PT Classic Jr., and it’s by an incredibly small margin. It has to go on top because it literally doesn’t fit anywhere underneath.

How were you able to power all the pedals, I thought the Aetos only had 8 outputs?
@soundwave189
@soundwave189 4 жыл бұрын
evanmceneaney I forgot to mention but the polytune2 allows you to power another pedal with an 9v power output it has right next to the power input. And I also have a splitter I will use sometimes. I’ll put the 9v splitter on two digital pedals that take the lowest amount of power. I have a few but I usually power the chorus and the tape core together.
@soundwave189

Also wanted to add that the Aetos has a input that can be used to plug your pedals power supply. I just started using mine for my canyon delay. It requires the wall watt power supply it came with. It was giving me problems with even the higher ma rated input on the aetos. Working great now.

@@soundwave189 what pedals are safe to daisy chain like that ?
@soundwave189
@soundwave189 2 жыл бұрын
@@C0nnie make sure they require the same voltage for example 9v make sure the milliamps from each pedal sent to high for the power source. For example one of the outputs of the power supply I’m using is 500 milliamps and so I could technically daisy chain 5 pedals at 100 milliamps each. I don’t recommend daisy chains by that many pedals. I’d say up to 3 because noise issues could pop up with the more pedals you daisy chain together.

Hey Jonathan, thank you for sharing your buildup! Is this your only or main pedalboard? I am about to order the Pedaltrain Metro 24 to build my first pedalboard. I think the smaller footprint will make it more portable if need be. Best wishes!
@soundwave189
@soundwave189 4 жыл бұрын
Martin Hinze Hi 👋 Martin! This is my main board that I have together all the time. I have a smaller one from OnStage that’s about the same size as the metro 24. I just wish the better power bricks were more affordable for smaller boards. But I use it when all I need are about 4-5 pedals. But this one really isn’t heavy. With all my pedals on it, it probably weighs about 12-15 pounds at the most. But it’s all preference. I hope it turns out awesome! 🤙🏽

@@soundwave189 Hey Jonathan, glad to learn you are using your board a lot! Thank you, there are still some things to be figured out.. I am thinking about getting the Eventide PowerMAX, which should fit underneath the Metro. 15 pounds is not too much. I am also concerned about space, because some venues are ridiculously small..
@jonnyfive5000
@jonnyfive5000 4 жыл бұрын
Martin Hinze oh wow the power max looks like a great option. Have you looked into Truetone 1 Spot pro CS6? It is a little “barebones” compared to the power options of the powermax. But I have had nothing but a good experience with Truetones power bricks. I’ve owned the cs12 and the cs7 and they were always reliable. They are all isolated and are able to run digital and analog pedals with no issue. That’s true, the footprint is important. Where do you see yourself using your board for the most part?
@Martin23673
@Martin23673 4 жыл бұрын
@@jonnyfive5000 Thank you for your feedback, this small discussion really helps me to figure out my needs. I will use the board 97% or so of the time in my living room, so size is actually not so crucial. I just like downsizing things and that's why the Pedaltrain Metro line appeals to me. However, I am tending towards the Classic Jr. Created a stencil of its size and some future pedals and everything seems to fit fine, just the Wah would need to stay off (so maybe better Pedaltrain Classic 1, note sure yet). Also like the slope. Which size did you chose? Thanks for the tip, never heard about Truetone power adapter before, looks great for 'standard' pedals. The thing is that I am already eyeing some power hungry pedals from Strymon, Boss, Earthquaker etc., so I like the concept of a power adapter that can feed about any pedal with any of its outputs. :-)

Martin Hinze glad to help :) I chose the Pedaltrain Classic Jr w the soft case. Yah I hope the power supplies keep giving more options and keep getting slimmer. I didn’t mention it in the video but my walrus Aeros has a plug for a pedal that needs its own power supply. My EHX canyon delay is one of those pedals. So that was super handy to have.

@soundwave189
@soundwave189 2 жыл бұрын
The power brick actually powers 9. I forgot to mention the 3 prong input it has. I use that one to power the canyon delay. And the switcher pedal is powered by the neunaber pedal. Sometimes I’ll also use the extra input on the tuner pedal to power another.

How you deal with noise (if you have?).
@soundwave189
@soundwave189 2 жыл бұрын
I used to use a radial stage bug sb-6 isolator which I liked a lot. But in an effort to lighten my pedalboard I got rid of it. Having quality patch cables and guitar cables helps eliminate a lot of noise. That’s where the annoying noise came from for me. But there’s a natural noise that comes through when I turn on my OD pedals. I just work with and it’s not noticeable while I’m actually playing which is most important. So the problem is fixed when I disengage them after playing. Hope that helps
