I love the way you teach. I’m in college and I have to relearn all over again, something I’ve learn 30 years ago. Questions. Why did you multiply 75/100 by 25 and not 2 Ana you did the other ones?

In case the tabs are clickable and the students update the slide with clickable tabs on their end, the links on their tabs get broken. Have your students experienced such problem? How did you solve it?
@mathdojo80694 жыл бұрын
Yes, unfortunately, you have to teach them to select all of their tabs (copy them) then update, and paste them back... That's the easiest way I've found so far (with the older kids, I haven't had a problem yet... we just had to practice a lot in the beginning)... Hope this helps!

I love your body language about Translation (Slide), Reflection (Flip) and Rotation (Turn). As a math tutor and artist, I often use the transformation concepts in teaching students... How do you open your class online? I feel like I say the sand thing everyday... hey everyone happy Monday...Tuesday...Wednesday etc.
@mathdojo80694 жыл бұрын
Sometimes I say good morning/afternoon to them individually (good morning Sam!... Hey, good morning Mitchell, I'm so glad to see all of you! Good morning ___,... etc.) It takes a few minutes, but it makes sure that I at least say something to each one of them because being online, it's hard sometimes to acknowledge everyone in a class when you're teaching. Hope that helps... I usually have some kind of riddle, "what doesn't belong" puzzle showing in the background when they first come in so that it's not wasting any time...

When students need to turn in the notebook, what do they need to click? I am using a notebook for exit tickets but I would like to see their response every day. How can be done? I would like to assign one notebook for the nine weeks. However, once students turn it in so I can see their response, it doesn't let them type anymore. Please help!:(
@mathdojo80694 жыл бұрын
You need to have them "Turn In" their DINB for each day/week that you want to "check their work"... Then you need to grade their work for those pages (let the kids know, their grade will go up, it's just now low because there are only a few pages graded). Grading works well with rubrics (I can make an updated video if you'd like)... But after you grade it, you need to RETURN the DINB to them, and once it's returned, they can view the assignment and still make changes! There will be a "RESUBMIT" button, and you can keep doing that pattern of resubmit, grade, return... hope this helps!!! Hope you're having a great start to your year! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
