They are Teva De La Vina waterproof riding boots. They don’t make them anymore but you can find them on sites like eBay or Poshmark 👍

My first larp was Empire, and three years on I'm still going. 😃 I am in the UK though, and only a couple hours drive away. You're right about how involved you want to get - I get massive FOMO as I miss quite a lot of events due to the lovely lovely (not) British weather. PD make the events as accessible as possible, however the realities of being a wheelchair user at events which turn into The Muddening mean I can't really get round so it's not worth going. I'm currently praying to the larp gods that July's event is a) dry and b) not in a heatwave. 😂

Ive larped for damn near 20 years and I love supporting new players. In the larp I was involved with we tried to focus a lot on "spotlighting" and "telling your story by helping others tell theirs" ill have to check out Reckoning larp

Abby, I just wanted to say…. your costume design ideas are spot on in my opinion. Your outfit in this video inspired an outfit for my new character as the clothing you chose in this video is surprisingly effective as medieval fantasy male clothes as well. And this video is excellent English speaking international advertising for Burgschneider as it convinced me to give Burgschneider a chance. And I have not been disappointed. It also looks like you all had great fun. Nice to see you and the Skill Tree folks together. I love seeing connections grow in the larping community.

Reckoning went through some major changes last year and we’ve also had to shift our focus and efforts toward our event so sadly I don’t we’ll be releasing a Rivlan kit video.

Another idea which I have used is to texture the “wood” handle part. Use a wire brush and create “grains” in your handle to resemble wood grains. Excellent job !

If you're not allowed to LARP with real flames then you need to find a different group.

Every game we play in allows enclosed real flames. Real lanterns are cool but they provide way less light, tend to get very hot, and you can’t run or fight while holding one.
