One thing is to beware diving off the deep end with things. Far to many people just think of it as a destination/longer duration things. A LARP covers more than the longer ones that pop up, having a setup for short duration ones, perhaps even event ones... The event LARPs tend to be a couple hours long and is normally tied to something else...a lot of gaming conventions have ones like that or they might have them with groups in areas. A lot of them are indoors as well, being in a few conference rooms or similar. They're also easier to get space for. As an additional thing, a good idea is to also consider professionals for some things, having a lawyer go over things to make sure you cover things that might cause a lot of problems before dealing with the aftermath of getting sued because someone was injured.
