@@IndigenousPonchoGames to be honest since I made this comment I think I've found a new found hatred for cavalry. It's been everywhere at the minute. Gold cav wiped out my imperial pikes while they were slow advancing today. Crazy how its so OP you can charge it into anti cav units and still win

@waughy9103 they are definitely the strongest units in the game with the most kill/clip potential... when you make something that strong you have to understand that people will tailor their gameplay to surround that. The effect is a LOT of artillery standing in place of what used to be coordinated multi-unit infantry/ranged meta that encouraged and rewarded cohesion. If you want 'that moment' I'm a battle, you will get way more of them now by burning down defenses with artillery until the point that the cav can get it and be the deciding factor in every game. And if we are able to stomach that, we have to still look passed some of the most aggressive and predatory micro-transaction p2w implementations. That side of things used to be soooo mild compared to where it's gotten. Premium was the only thing and it was a luxury. Now you need to invest in so many different areas to remain above the power creep.

Thanks man, I'm glad I've got a game I'm enjoying getting into again... unfortunately for conquerors blade, Ive tried re-installing it a bunch of times every couple of seasons to check in but its just got the same issues that made me leave in the first place. I wish I could still enjoy it because it is a super unique game, but I just don't see it ever getting back to what made it so fun early on.

@kmook76 it's the cav man... was like season 7-10ish they just made it so cav is the deciding unit in every battle... coincidentally this was also when the playerbase took a sharp decline that it never recovered from. The whole game is just spamming arty long enough to bait cav charges; well rounded infantry/ranged team coordination was what made the game fun and that's long gone

@@IndigenousPonchoGames The cav is just the most OP, hearkens back to seasonal OP Liao's Rangers, Keshigs, and lesser degree Kriegsbruders. However the infantry like the WW mansion guard also have poor counters. The "mmo" and territory war aspects are dumb as well as all the grinding required. Should just be pay for skins not p2w. If anyone says its not p2w, you're deluding yourself.

Game has terrible balance true, but the example of a longbow taking out a piece of artillery in 30-40 shots is far from being a good example of that.

@@IndigenousPonchoGames i'm an old CB player use to watch your videos all the time, been spending all my time on tarkov as well haha. CB just feels so different in a bad way every time i try to play it now.

@@slayersboxer915 They really put the nail in the coffin for me when they added the stones to upgrade gear with, instantly erasing the years worth of gear grinding i had done and made every piece of gear i had completely useless, while also making all of my thousands of resources built up over years also useless because you can only make as much viable gear as you have stones for... they just went too far down the pay to win route for it to be fun, but that part at least makes sense in a making money kind of way. The other brutal factor is the direction they chose to go with balancing, making certain metas just dominate the entire game forever (looking at you cav players). Just a lot of bizarre choices over the years, crushing the casual playerbase and making the only effective gameplay loop centered around an event that happens twice a week for one hour. Instead of trying to recapture the feeling lost from the early development of the game, just hardlocked unit selection into different tiers for different weeks. Every time they identified a problem, instead of fixing the issue they would just farther segment the game, giving less and less reason to log on and play outside of that small window of hours / week when gameplay is potentially enjoyable.

@@IndigenousPonchoGames Yeah when i logged back in after not playing for a long time i was like wtf is going on with my gear and once i read up on it i was completely turned off from the game... and i couldn't agree more with that conclusion, really is a shame because the core game was so good just ruined by poor choices
