Awesome glad you're having fun so far :) I had to play around the drops during the early grind a bit but mostly I've leveled off into this same build with a bunch of extra passives and building into the paragons - hoping to put out something updated for this before early access is over too 🤞

This is actually the first build i see, which has the potential to be even more viable as soon as the game launches. Since we are gonna have even more skills and combine this with some shouts and more passives. I think its gonna blow up. Cool find, really looking forward to use this one, once the game launches :)

Can't wait till I get the chance to stack a lot more of those passive... just glancing at the tree, I know I've got like another 20 points already decided into those bonuses, it's gonna be huge :)

@@Deadjeb I just replied to an earlier comment a moment ago, but to go more in on those two specifically, im suspecting that any additional movement based combat skills, or any shouts will be things i get from item affixes and will slot them out interchangeably. I will not be focusing any of that with main skill points, as I dont believe that either of them scale well with points compared to permanent passives and are best with a couple/few good item affix fill in's. But well have to see :)

Appreciate it! There's a visceral satisfaction to this build that I honestly think trumps anything else in the game right now, you just feel like a monster in the best way possible

Honestly this is really hard to predict without having full knowledge of whats to come with weapon mastery abilities and such, but what I am roughly envisioning is having those two primary skills being the main carry, with a LOT of extra points into all the passive bonuses in the tree & paragons. I think at its core its the passives that have always carries late game barbs in diablo, and thats probably why they felt weaker in betas at low level. Unlike sorcs who have their damage mostly built into the skills alone but cap out faster as well, barbs can continue to scale up basically forever. With the movement speed gains, I think the barb will move extremely quickly, lunge around quickly, and have a lot of focus into berserking / fortify / barrier / thorns that just lets you chunk into the meat of everything - at least thats how im hoping to build out

yeah lunge strike is super fun, i'd really like to incorporate death blow as well (more consistent berserking), tho it really hurts when u miss one

Now this looks like a barb gameplay to me. I personally don’t like the animation of upheaval. And all thorns barb play looks lame. This looks sweet thanks!

Yeah the animations was a big thing for me, and the feeling that I have to angle myself correctly to get the most out of upheaval, ESPECIALLY if youre not using lunging strike to get into better position easier. Lunging around quickly with the 360 hammer drops has a much more visceral satisfaction than any of the other builds IMO

@@IndigenousPonchoGames well said 100% same thought process. I read or heard that the devs said we have been playing with an older version of the game. I’m hoping some things are upgraded and animations. I’d take ground slam from D3 over upheaval. He looks like he’s playing golf to me when he does it and it bugs the heck out of me.

@@ClintK. Certainly, basically any time you're playing a beta, you're playing a version that is dated by at least a few weeks/months, and is just known to be relatively stable and ready to use as a test for server issues etc. We havn't seen the half of it yet :)
