Beautifully executed video. Perfect pace and lovely camera work. So nice not to have irritating music in the background. Question: To make the sleeves slightly longer could you simply add a few more stitches to the cast on ? Great work, a born Tutor. Michelle UK

How often do you knit this way? In other videos you seem to be knitting English. Is one way better for certain projects than the other?

How n the world do you figure out how to make this pattern. You are very talented! And generous!! I'm making another in blue, on lace section n decided to try your method for the ssk this time since more aware how pattern work's. Your ssk is so much neater :-) don't know what I'm doing but, going to try making lace Section an extra 4 row repeat in hopes underarms will be little more looser for me. Can only try and learn. Beautiful pattern! Best I successfully tried on my knitting journey. Thank you thank you for awesome tutorial. I'm wishful think and following you in hopes of more. Take care, happy new year

Can you clarify? After placing 9 sts onto needle for thumb, the instructions say, “Pick up and k1 from the cast on stitch edge.” How do you do that? And will that equal 10 sts total? Thanks

Thank you so much for this demonstration! It is so helpful. But it only works on sweaters in stockinette stitch, right?

When I cast on like this I put a removable stitch marker in that first stitch of the working yarn. Makes it much easier for me to see where that first stitch is and how to get to it.

So helpful! Thank you! I have a lot of extra yarn, is there any issue with just picking up the stitches from the top part, then working down from there (disregarding everything from about minute 8 on and just re-knitting the bottom section of the sweater instead of grafting)? Thanks

Hello Knifty! How do you end this shawl? I get how to start and continue, thru the i-cord edging, increasing to the middle, and then decreasing toward the end. When I got to the end, I had 7 stitches (as per pattern) but can not figure out how to bind off, in i-cord. I reduced to 6 stitches, but I have two live edges instead of one, where I could kitchner then end. Any suggestions? thanks.

I made it! The lace pattern kept giving me no end of trouble, I had to unravel several rows several times. What I realized was that I had to be absolutely sure that I was either on row 1 or 3 and follow the written instructions exactly. I found that if the repeat was yo then ssk, at the end of the repeat I would want to add an extra yarn over, then knit to the end or to the sm. This of course messed everything up and it was hard to discover where I went wrong. I kept paper next to me to keep track of which row I was on at all times and I had the printed pattern in from of me at all times. I've made sweaters before, but I am most proud of this one. Its absolutely beautiful, it looks very professional. Thank you for the well written pattern and for the excellent instructional video. Please make more sweater patterns and videos. I see you have a couple of others, but you need more, you're so good at it!

Awesome video! Thank you. But hhow have you made the stictches on the inside, marking mid front and mid back? It would be awesome to learn, not to hat to always use stitch markers :)
