Gratitude to you, my friend, for all you share! It has been a difficult year but on reflection, I was reminded how far I'd come. My word for 2020 was Forgiveness. Yes I have, most importantly, myself. There have been long periods of solitude. Time spent coming to grips with the shadow but here we are in December, with a little glimmer of light on the horizon for 2021. I am so grateful for your wisdom and the meditations you've gifted us. Always a ray of light!

Thank you Bindi for such a calming and comforting reminder of what to do. I actually do knit and also colour a lot as I find it helps to be in the moment. A few moments of mindfulness help me too, just looking around or out the window and observing without judging.

OH! and knitting is a GREAT form of creative meditation and it's PORTABLE! I love that you can take your knitting with you and most times, people wont bother you if your knitting, unless its another knitter curious about your project, in which case, you'll usually make a new friend! =) Your video has reminded me of some abandoned knitting projects I can return to for more calm during my day - thanks for the tips Bindi! <3

This is a wonderful video Bindi, I'm SO GLAD you are making these meditation videos! They are so helpful with my own daily meditation practice during these challenging times. I really like how you point out that having set up a meditation practice before a challenging time is helpful for the times when meditation is difficult. It does sound like a catch-22! But since I already had a practice in place, it has served me in times when I'm in a situation that is less than pleasant and I can draw upon the grounding I started my day with. My alternatives, when I'm not able to meditate, are going for a walk (which is a challenge in my neighborhood where many walk without a mask), or I do a little coloring to calm my mood. I have small mini coloring books and color pencils I can put into my bag, if I know I'm going to be in an environment that is not supportive for me, so I can hide in another room and color! Deep breaths in the bathroom also help and sometimes dancing to a favorite song helps me connect to my body ;)

Yes colouring is a great idea and of course walks... or as I like to call them Soul Walks ☺️ thank you for your kind words and I’m glad your practice is strong - it will always help you in challenging times 💕

Surrounded by white light, itself blanketed by iridescent hues, I felt the gentle healing power of protection. When prompted to add a layer of crystal, I chose Moss Agate, which aids in stability, persistence and grounding as well as endurance while creating a connection to nature and earth. I wonder what tomorrows crystal will be. Thank you for a beautiful meditation and tool. Love Lynn xoxo

We are living the time of extremes, way worse than anything we have seen in mankind up to here, because it is about everything evil that ever existed, but now on a global scale. Certainly we are reaching a tipping point where either mankind as a whole can pick the path of enlightenment, or we will go back to physical and spiritual dust. I am thinking now of all these quotes from Dr.King, it can hardly get more eloquent. Big hug guys. www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/23924.Martin_Luther_King_Jr_

Bindi, Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your thoughts and experience here, SO MUCH of what you share resonated with me and my own experience as a Latina in the US, from the micro-aggressions of white people not moving to make room on a sidewalk for me to walk comfortably, to the educational system making assumptions about my intelligence based on the color of my skin. It's hard to walk through this white-centered world as a Woman of Color, and the supremacy of whiteness runs so deep, it affects us on so many levels, so that we end up with internalized racism, which I've seen play out toward me. This brutality toward black people (and people of color) has been going on for so long, I truly hope it comes to an end in the near future, it just has to, or we have no future as a Human Race =( Thank you for sharing your lovely poems, I'm SO GLAD to know you! <3

It's my fiftieth this year, and I was going to be celebrating it at a festival in our German Twin Town in August (that's not when my birthday is), but sadly it looks like it will be cancelled, unless there's a sudden change and everything gets better. It's very disappointing, but then birthdays don't mean THAT MUCH to me, so I am not too worried.

@@bindimeditations If it's true, I say it. Well, seeing it like that, if it's true, because sometimes silence makes me nervous and I say it will be because we are no longer accustomed to silence as meditation.
@bindimeditations5 жыл бұрын
This is so true Jordi - we are not used to silence anymore and yes this can make us anxious/nervous etc. Great observation... I guess the more we are in silence, the more comfortable it can become...
@ashleyp.49325 жыл бұрын
I work for myself and (most of the time) by myself. I am often working alone, and I don't have music on, but it is amazing how even being the only one in the building doesn't mean I have silence. There may not be external noises, but my own thoughts seem to "sound" even louder. It can be nice just to take a few moments away from the computer, and enjoy the actual silence of not having lots of thoughts trying to cram into my brain at the same time.
@bindimeditations5 жыл бұрын
The silence can definitely amplify our thoughts - but we can learn to listen to what is needed and let other things go. I think that is what you are doing by having the few moments away from the computer - that is your needed silence :)

Wee, I get first view! :) For some reason I thought of you guys today travelling back from Paris on the train and (we) had a sort of daydreaming philosophical conversation about the one essential life skill of "letting go", go figure. Your voice alone is enough to un-stress... Sammy's remembered... Lately at the shelter I am buddies with an older cat named "Apple" who ended up recently at the shelter at 13 because his lady had to go to a nursing home... heartbreaking for both this kind of situation... we don't know how long he has, some health problems, I hope I can make him a bit happy... he has the deepest stare.... www.la-spa.fr/adopter-animaux/adopter-chat-europeen-m-apple-374179

...some astral travel going on there ;) Yes I am pretty sure you are making him happy and he is so beautiful. Both our cats were older cats when they came to us and Kruger, the lady cat, had a lot of health problems but managed 3 years with us. I like to think they had a home in their last years... I hope someone adopts Apple - older cats are so loving :) ...ahh letting go - yes the one essential life skill!! AND the most difficult to do... Have a good weekend Christian and yay for first view :) xxx
