Bindi, Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your thoughts and experience here, SO MUCH of what you share resonated with me and my own experience as a Latina in the US, from the micro-aggressions of white people not moving to make room on a sidewalk for me to walk comfortably, to the educational system making assumptions about my intelligence based on the color of my skin. It's hard to walk through this white-centered world as a Woman of Color, and the supremacy of whiteness runs so deep, it affects us on so many levels, so that we end up with internalized racism, which I've seen play out toward me. This brutality toward black people (and people of color) has been going on for so long, I truly hope it comes to an end in the near future, it just has to, or we have no future as a Human Race =( Thank you for sharing your lovely poems, I'm SO GLAD to know you!
