Even on a heritage line with a speed limit of 25 m/hour, No. 60007 still looks impressive and like an engine that once went at 112 m/hour possibly 113! 😁😁😁😁

Why is an A4 there, I wish these heritage railways would keep to the original traction that would be on them.
@04clemea3 күн бұрын
@@IainDavies-z2l so, you're saying heritage railways need to stop holding money making galas. Right, got it👍

No just run the trains that would have run on those lines in their day. The Bluebell Railway should be concentrating on relaying the line between HK and HH and electrifying it to run 3rd rail stock on it.

Magnificent!. Is there still a low speed limit on the Bluebell Line?
@04clemea5 күн бұрын
@@mt508 work is being carried out this winter to replace the worn out track, so hopefully most speed restrictions will be lifted next year.

My wife used to live in those cottages on the right. I have actually driven "Sir Nigel", on the Mid-Hants Railway. Does that make us famous?

So Titanic would have sounded something like this down in the engine room,only much bigger? Did you hear anything else in the rest of the ship with like diesel engines?

Wow. I thought these were quiet locomotives, wrong. That's a stiff climb. I live in Newcastle NSW Australia and we have grade's just as steep as this climb. The steepest grade and probably longest in Australia is the 33 miles of 1 in 33 over the Blue Mountains, actually isn't alis Gile on the S and C the highest point by rail in England, well in the Blue Mountains there's a town called Valley Heights is the same height as Alis Gile and in the days of steam that's where they would put a bank engine on to Katoomba then down hill to Lithgow. Just watch the DVDs of when 4472 Flying Scotsman visited Australia in 88/89. P.S. SORRY FOR BUTCHERING YOUR SUMMIT'S NAME, I can't remember how to spell it.
