Unfortunately not.. it was my 1st car at the time and it certainly got its use out of her. The head gasket started to go so I traded it in before it full on failed. I miss her everyday though! I'll probably never find another one.

Had a 90 Cutlass coupe with 3.1 L V-6 and FE-3 suspension. It was a nice handling car, not much muscle though. Drove it 13 years, no major problems. Drove Oldsmobiles for 35 years but this was the last one.

My parents bought one of these back in 1989 with the 2.8 L V6 engine. It was a big piece of crap! They went through 3 engines by 1993, and one transmission. The interior fell apart, dash warped, digital cluster went out and was replaced a LOT! The paint fell off, and we had it repainted twice. We should’ve never gotten rid of our 1983 Chevy Caprice Classic. That car was bulletproof! The Oldsmobile not so much.

Very cool and yes, very rare Cutlass. As a Cutlass owner myself, so nice to see another one as these are pretty much extinct now. A little tid bit, all 1990 International cars (coupes and sedans) equipped with the Quad 4 were 5 speeds. No automatics made. As rare as these are, 2 - 1990 International Quad 4/5 speed coupes have popped up recently in the last year For Sale on CL.

Very cool Jerod! The gasket technology was horrible when these were new. Replacements are a metal gasket so no more issues with them compared to the old cork design. These weren't the smoothest engine but made plenty of power, more than the 3.1 V6.

My parents had a 01 Oldsmobile Alero Coupe with the quad 4. I thought it ran really good, had a good takeoff I thought and done well on the Interstate. It had coolant problems and some small electrical problems, dash was lit up like a cockpit of a jet mostly bc of I think 3 sensors in the hub that monitored tire pressure, traction control and something else and that is fairly costly

@Chad Wilkins Hell no bullshit that Iron duke was the business i had that motor in my 1994 Chevy Cavalier RS 2 dr. Coupe a rare model i had, that motor was super strong and was good on gas too, very hard to blow up unless you ran it low on oil or without oil i purposely pushed that car to the limit before i sold it to the Savage yard guy and couldn't get it to blow up, i wished i would've kepted it now i got rid of it back in the end of Dec. 2009 the car kept me in trouble with the law.

Junk made in China with plastic gears. The 1980's was the last decade of the really good alarm clocks with metal gears. Your clock is disposable. The fact that you bought it at Walmart explains everything. Wanna vintage clock? Look up Jim Thompson at alarmclockdoc.com

I bought a new Cutlass in 1988. We loved that car. Then this Oldsmobile came out with this body style I believe in '89. I traded in my car in "94. I didn't replace with a Oldsmobile, did truly consider buying one back then. Enjoy your adventures in your Oldsmobile 👍
@jiggity764 жыл бұрын
For 1988, both the G-body and W-body were offered. G-body being the RWD platform and W-body being the FWD platform. 1990 was the first year for the Cutlass W-body sedan.

I grew up around the international series with red leather, and loved them ever since. I've had a 94 convertible with the 3.4. And of course any olds fan needs an Aurora...the last real olds. And a 74 Delta 88 with the 350...not fast at all! I've got a 1939 Lasalle by Cadillac ( dead GM brand ) in storage. I'm down to the old Lasalle and a 95 Firebird as a daily, all of them were and are raven black, but I need to get back to the Olds side of the GM family. Great times in those cars and yours makes me want to go find one! Thanks for the upload! Hang onto it as long as you can!

He probably couldn't hear you well, mainly because your signal was likely weak relative to his location which suggests that he was quite a distance from you. His signal was strong and probably, at least 500w to 1Kw, whereas you were probably only putting out 10-12 watts unless you have a linear amp. He was having a bit of fun with you because your signal was weak compared to his, it's an old CB tradition. You should definitely record more of him and upload, I will subscribe to you just for that :)
