I LOVVVVE that you film on cloudy (normal PNW) days. That’s the whole appeal to the NW and for some reason people only crab their cameras on sunny days 🤷🏻♂️. WONDERFUL video. More please❤️

Great video! I loved the landscape, this lighthouse doesn’t seem so spooky, but sure is a thing to be far away from coast, in a total dark just hearing the waves crashing .

i am so sad to see this lighthouse in such bad condition. i served on lighthouses and two lightships while i was in the US Coast Guard so lighthouses and lightships are very close to my heart. i know there are cremains at this lighthouse and i hope they have not been disturbed in any way.i would like to have my ashes spread near Execution Rocks lighthouse in Long Island Sound, i served there. today i think people can stay out there overnight if they want to. i know Execution Rocks has been worked on and restored.

Really cool! Such a fascinating place. Many yrs ago when I first got the then new Mavic, I thought about flying out there, but was sure I'd run out of power and lose my new investment. It looks like you had a lot of loiter time to really check things out. I had been building analog FPV race drones and was so used to the short ranges and flight times. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKeynIZvf9JmbLs

If you fly, fly from Tillamook Head overlook (take the trail south up from Indian Head beach. From Ecola Park it's over 2 miles one way. Fly out with a headwind that way you have a tail on return. Be cautious of the seals and birds. Best time to fly is when there are no birds on Tilly nesting.

Fly from tillamook head. Don't fly in spring or summer due to all the birds. Keep your distance from the seals, don't frighten them. Fly out with a head wind that way you have a tail wind on the return.

Absolutely gorgeous! I still wish I could get you to film multiple sunrises with your drone in 1 day. I feel like if this video existed, not even the most ardently-'tarded flattard would attempt to refute it. Soundly's drone footage of Kenner & N.O. behind the horizon of Pontchartrain certainly demonstrates the point, but the quality & altitude of your footage is unrivaled. I'm kind of curious how many times you _could_ capture the sun peaking from behind the horizon & then artificially making it "set" by dropping altitude in 1 flight. My math isn't good enough to work out the calculus. But if we had a single video showing the sun fully risen, then fully set by descending, waiting until full-rise again, descending again, then full rise a third time, (zoomed-in so that the sun takes up the majority of the screen) FE would be a completely dematerialized dead horse. Might need a helicopter to get the elevation for such an observation. Honestly, I'm not sure why no one seems to have done this before. At least as an art & science project. I might actually have to look into doing this for my son's science project 1 day. "Completely Debunking the Flat Earth Conspiracy with Scientific Observations" or something. ~RED

That footage was done with a Phantom 4 Pro just after they 1st came out. Always fly out with a small headwind. That way you have a tailwind pust on the return.
