Current location of ships in description. You will also notice the thumbnail ship is not the 2 in the video. A total of 4 were flown (3 underway, 1 moored). Later video for them. Working on a new Tillamook Rock Lighthouse video now. Thank you for watching.

For a moment I thought you were going to land on the bulbous bow on that second ship. That would be showing off. Epic view of mighty ships. Thank you for making this video. Seems I’ve missed a couple of notifications too. Binge watching for me this weekend.

That zoom is amazing, it's like you are right there.

No zoom, nothing magnified. Flown using goggles (easier to guage distance then looking at a phone or iPad).

@@GeistView Amazing video. I've been thinking about getting some goggles because I have poor vision, especially in the left eye. Do you think they would help? Do the goggles project the same image to both sides, assuming there are two screens... Thanks, love your channel!!!
@GeistView3 жыл бұрын
@@bobwallis1757 Hi, yes goggles might help you. You can wear glasses with the kind I use (DJI Goggles 1st gen, white). Yes its 2 separate screens, 1 for each eye. The only eye adjustment is Pupillary Distance. But it makes it much easier to fly and see what the camera sees, it also helps with gaging distance to objects. The displays are at 720p each.

Love it! Especially the close up shots of the bow pushing the water.

Phenomenal shots. You made them look majestic, gliding across the Columbia 👍

Very cool! 3:05 was a great shot! Knowing the area, I'm guessing you didn't have a lot of time to get your shots after flying out and back that far. Did the guys on the ships seem to notice the drone?

1 was from by the park by the bridge, the other was from by the Bouy brewing and the last was by Moe's. I flew 4 ships that day (need to edit the other 2). The farthest ship (not in video) was from by the Bouy Brewing and I got there with 85% battery remaining. That one was stationary. There was some crew who noticed and gave a wave. The ones in motion don't seem to care or know. The last ship I waited for her to make her turn to go by town. Noticed she was high out of the water and figured the bow would make a great transition shot. Did get closer but the shot was bouncy. My next try will to be at just above the water infront of the bow wake. The only really concern is the shots from the rear, the gulls like to follow the ships and are always a hazard when chasing.

10 seconds of intro, followed by another 30 seconds of pretty much useless footage. The real meat of the video didn't start until a minute in. Had I not known there was better footage, i would have clicked off the video. This is constructive criticism from someone who knows how KZbin works. If you chopped out the first minute, you would have had a banger.

The viewer decides within the first 10 seconds if their going to watch or move on. Capture their attention with action, something unique. If you can hold onto your viewer for at least a minute, or 40‰ of the video, KZbin is more likely to promote it. It only takes one for your channel to get noticed.
