I think if Cena kept his rapper gimmick he’s popularity wouldn’t have plummeted the way it did I’m not saying he had to be freestyling every week or anything like that but taking away his chains and how he spoke with slang and stuff in my opinion it made him boring he didn’t need to be the super hero that we came to know later there just my opinion though

When worlds collide, you can run But no can hide! When worlds collide, you'll laugh so hard you'll swear you've died When worlds collide Hold my hand, I'll be your guide when worlds collide Buckle, buckle, buckle up for the sweetest ride And prepare to have your mind blown wide when worlds collide When worlds collide When worlds collide, it's a curious thing Bet ya never heard a robot and a caveman sing In his metal chest are some working parts How is that different from by beating heart? I'm from the future And I'm from the past But that don't mean this friendship wasn't built to last He was made in a lab and I was born in a cave So let me hear you holler for this inter-era rave! You, you, you can run But no can hide! When, when worlds collide

As someone who was a child when the PG era was happening, that was when I became a fan of WWE. All that merch and kid-friendly content really hooked me in. I had action figures, slurpee cups, a subscription to WWE magazine. That was what made me a fan of wrestling. Although, once I reached my teens, I felt like I grew out of WWE.

What's ironic is that CM Punk is now the star overshadowing both World Champions in a non-title feud of the year with Drew McIntyre.

Regal was an incredible technical wrestler, top 10 WWE all time. He also was an excellent actor and reliably funny. I love his legacy but would have loved to see a heel champ run.

I was 12 back then, and this was in the middle of WWE having its best period here in Italy. I remember following both Smackdown and Raw, while being fully aware that these two were separate things. Whatever was happening on Raw didn't affect what was happening on Smackdown, unless there was a shared pay per view (like Wrestlemania) where they would meet one another. Then, this draft came out, and I remember being hooked and hyped out to see what was going to happen. I remember tuning into an episode of Raw wondering which Smackdown star was going to join, and vice versa. It was also fun to see Smackdown having a brief arc where they were left with no champions, while Raw had both. It was such a surreal experience that I still remember it quite fondly, almost 2 decades alter.

Cena vs rock at mania should have been once in a lifetime. Royal rumble 2013: Cena wins. Cena pulls a 2008 where he tells punk he will challenge him at elimination chamber because once he wins he will allow the rock to have against him for the title( rock wouldn’t refuse a WWE Championship match) Elimination chamber: punk gets himself disqualified. Rock wins the chamber match. The gm makes it a triple threat match. Mania: Cena wins by pinning punk The next ppv: Cena vs rock 2 and Cena gets his 1v1 redemption

The 4 year arch between HBK and Undertaker is probably the greatest story in WWE History. From them ending the 07 rumble, beginning the 08 rumble, the match at WM 25 (one of the greatest matches ever), then the story they told through out RR & Elimination Chamber, to the retirement match they WM. Shit was peak WWE Storytelling

I always considered the last days of the Attitude Era to be before the name changed to WWE. For me personally early 2002 still felt like the Attitude Era, but once the name changed and the draft happened, everything started to feel different.

Rev. D-Von was a great gimmick. They should have stayed behind it longer but I guess it was yet another case of Vince turning from hot to cold like so many other characters/angles.

2017 Braun was booked nearly perfect and everyone thought he was the guy to beat lesnar (which he should of) he was literally being built up for it and those 2 didn't really interact until the build for Summerslam (for a reason) then they have him lose in 10mins to 1 F5 in a dogshit match that didn't even main event
@GunnyPA4 күн бұрын
So now when lesnar won it was like who tf was gonna beat him. Strowman was that guy. After he lost at no mercy he was NEVER the same and NEVER recovered

And everybody now everybody thought it was really gonna be roman 😂 so they really buried joe and strowman for fuckin roman (which roman ended up losing as well which was a huge shock...but to actually ultimately win it later anyways)

This time period was trash. The aesthetics looked really cool, the wrestlers looked good, their attires, the lighting, the stage looked awesome especially if this was you first exposure to the product growing up but when you actually watch the full shows from this time period, it was total garbage especially when you are aware of the product that Smackdown was producing in the previous years.
@bro-dy68484 күн бұрын
Everyone keeps mentioning the 8 second match to end his reign but imo the most disrespectful parts aside from that are that Kofi didn’t get a rematch for his title and the very next smackdown he didn’t acknowledge his loss and it was rarely mentioned that Kofi was a former WWE champion. He lost to Brock and immediately went back to tag team competition. I was hoping with his time as WWE champion they’d have him do more singles stuff. I’ve always loved Kofi as a wrestler and I think it’d be cool if he got his hands on the US or IC title again.
