I Shall Not Be Moved", also known as "We Shall Not Be Moved", is an African-American slave spiritual, hymn, and protest song dating to the early 19th century American south.[1] It was likely originally sung at revivalist camp-meetings as a slave jubilee.

My Mam passed away-sadly,and a little unexpectedly in hospital last July- i always remember this song stopped her in her tracks to listen 'on a rant' lol-when i played it in the late 90's then it was Bruce in concert in LA -this is a beautiful version -making the mind drift and wonder where a gentle and pleasant soul who played down her illness and carried on so upbeat in life is now-apart from rested in peace i dedicate this song to her memory-Ar Dheis de go raibh a anam

My favorite version of City of New Orleans performed by Steve Goodman is the one from The Easter Tapes. All acoustical with great guitar work. I used to like Arlo Guthrie's version, and Willie Nelson's versions, but IMO Steve Goodman's version makes the other 2 look like cheap imitations.

I have Huntingdon in the family, my mother and my brother died of it. I have 3 kids. My statement is : is you ask me, in view of the risk I have of getting the disease, would I rather not have been born? My answer would be a very loud NO!

When sharing this clip, the predictive text feature "predicted" I wanted to say "goddess" when I was in the middle of writing "Giddens" I think it might have gotten that one right. 😊 Never heard this song done better. Made me cry...

Wow. Paul took this classical piece and created a modern masterpiece out of it as, himself an icon and living legend. Yet Rhiannon is such a magnetic and magnificent performer that she raised it even further - seemingly impossible!

I have an old vinyl album of David Sancious called "The Bridge" which I absolutely love. David never released a digital master of The Bridge which is a shame. Thanks for releasing this recording of David at the Capital Theater improvising over the melody of "Across the Universe which was fantastic.
