I use this method myself. If you turn it around you can see if there are airbubbles under the paper, which are easily squeezed out.

Hi Lezley, thanks for all the great info. I mixed Napthamide Maroon the other day using Holbein Mineral Violet and Holbein Crimson Lake. It’s a beautiful wine shade as you mentioned. Just found you from Pinterest with this post and so glad I did. Been watercoloring for a while and just recently started mixing colors with what I have. It’s a wonderful learning experience. Blessings to you!💗Rita

What if you accidentally use too much wax? Can anything be done to fix it even if it's been on for a month? Or is it too late? It's waxy to the touch.

Oooh, I don't know. I think you can scrape it off.... maybe there's a solvent that will take it off. All very 'careful careful'. I'm not very familiar with wax beyond this video.

Further proof that I’m trapped in an alien computer simulation. I refuse to believe that out of all the people who’ve made videos re W&N permanent masking fluid, *NOT ONE OF THEM HAS ANSWERED THE QUESTION “HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DRY?”.*
@LezleyDavidson
@LezleyDavidson 2 ай бұрын
🤣🤣 It dries by evaporation so it depends on how thick it’s applied. I can normally add a second layer after about 30 minutes. I wait another 30 minutes to an hour to paint. You can tell when it’s dry because it goes from milky to more translucent.

Ha! At the time I worked at an art store and got a discount. Though in truth - if you want an accurate test, use should use the same materials that you’ll use in the final piece.

@@LezleyDavidson If I was good enough to make a "final piece" on Arches paper - then perhaps I'd use the same to practice on and swatch... unfortunately - us mere mortals need to stick with Meeden and Baohong paper....

Hello, thank you so much for your videos, it's so hard to find a watercolorist such as yourself to teach techniques to someone like me, shaving off years of trying to figuring things out. I've experienced some artist not wanting to share. Thank you so much.

Wow. So unusual. As I completely understand your ideology your ideas on how to get to YOUR utopia would absolutely destroy your utopia. It's a if you yourself is an oxymoron. The yhwh does judge and condemn.. that's the whole point. Nowhere did any god ever say love and forgiveness. I feel sorry for you because you seem to be a lovely caring woman; however, you are singularly isolating yourself from society with leftist communist ideology.

I couldn't disagree more. Yes, there is emotional stuff that comes from family; however, an intelligent being has the ability to form themselves for themselves. There is no such thing as this supposed global condition. It's a fabric of creation from the wef. They literally said they were going to create it and promote it in the 1991 forum. How did all that money spent on those classes work out for you?

I thought the rice paper was the canvas instead of as a blocking paper. The effect of rice paper is even better but you need to mount them to make it flat then continue to paint on.

Thanks for sharing your testing method (under, over, mixed-in). I wondered if you have tried applying this textured medium over existing dried color paints with these same three application techniques. This would be a glazing layer strategy with these three methods. If you have successful results. I hope you would share your future results with all of us that follow you. Would to see if we are able to create dimensional perspectives of objects with this texture medium.

Stumbled upon this video today and although your post is a couple of years old, I thought i would share a perspective with you in case you happen to receive notice when comments are made. When you encourage people to "speak your truth" what it sound it sounds like to me is you are saying is don't lie, flatter or otherwise walk around what you think, but to tell people exactly what you think and not be deceitful. I agree with you that being honest is important and that not being honest is not being truthful. However, opinions or attitudes changes and vary from one person to another. Truth, is true regardless of whether any individual person wants to be true or not. In that way, I must disagree with the title/main message here. Telling truth is not a matter of opinion, a thing either is or is not true. We can't all have different truths, that belies the entire definition of what truth is.
