So many things in this story don't add up. I could literally hand you my opened phone and without my login and PW you can't access any of my accounts. NOW IF someone had my login and PW the 2FA would do nothing. I also question if you reload a SIM card if all the apps populate on the new phone so how would they even know what accounts he had ? He probably gave someone his info and is trying to scam the bank.

My Dad was scammed out of $12,000. His home phone caller ID was showing at the bank where they tried to get an $80,000 loan! They have now shown up on his property and actually tried to have his car towed away! Last appearance was in a taxi cab looking into his garage right at the car! The guy left but made a statement to him that made it clear that he was the scammer! Watch out people! Your modem box can be hacked! My Dad doesn't have a cell! Please keep an eye out! This has been super scary! So far, he's just out the money and no one has been prosecuted! Make sure you put up video cameras on your property and be mindful of who your relatives are talking to!!
