Hell of a lot easier if you pull that aircleaner box off first. Can see what you're doing.

Not sure where you've gotten your prices from. Beemer Boneyard & the Beemershop both have new OEM Valeo factory starters for $200.00. B.B. has a very low mileage used Valeo for $135.00. Amazon Canada has a "DB" brand (Chinese?) starter for just shy of $100.00, but why cheap out on such an important and critical hard working part of the bike. And, what's with the electrical tape to prevent a short??? The first and most important no brainer rule when working on any electrical part of an auto, bike, or whatever,...is to start by disconnecting the battery.

Probably because disconnecting the battery on an R1100S is a pain in the A**. ha ha

I still have this same Waverunner and have used your videos to maintain it. One thing I have never done to my waverunner is grease it. I am curious, while you owned yours did you ever grease it? My waverunner only has 182 hours on it, but I suspect it is time to do that.

Not a bad video.... but the part where you said 'it's not a jetski'... yes it is a jetski. The term 'jetski' is slang for this type of PWC. Don't be an idiot elitist.

When consulting your manual for your ski's torque values the 'Remarks' column should indicate if LOCTITE/thread sealant is recommended for the 'ignition coil case tapping screw.' For example, the 2003 FX140 does not require thread sealant.
