I'm going to have to this on my 18 year old TL. I liked your approach to removing the mount without removing the radiator fan. I'm going to try it your way first if I can't get it out, then will remove the fan. I will also use the OEM version to start with even though it's triple the aftermarket cost. Don't want to do this twice. Great video, thanks for the tips & trjcks!

@McGo1015 ай бұрын
Mds is guna shift wierd running on 4 cylinders where as manual mode keeps in running on 8. Mine definitely has a delay while in eco as well. As far as cam and lifters go, imo if your hemi isn't misfiring or doesn't have loud tapping noises at idle I'd just send it. Keep good oil in her and don't let it idle excessively.

Yesterday I installed this new fuel pump on upside down since it had RH stamped on the backside and the directional gas flow arrows pointed toward the gas tank instead of the carburetor when it was mounted in the original spot on the left hand side of this Gravely Kawasaki motor. Apparently, they have left hand side pumps and right side mount pumps. Aftermarket Ebay pump listed numerous models it could fit. So, they sent me a Right-Hand pump instead of the original Left- Hand pump for my model. Other than that, the pump was identical as the original one in shape size and port positions. Turning it upside down the gas flow arrows were then pointed toward the carburetor and I only had to extend the pump vacuum hose up to the topside of the pump to the vacuum port. I took a piece of small copper tubing off a junk air conditioner that was already partially shaped in a U shape. Carefully bent it further over without a major crease to connect it to the extended hose coming from below with another small piece of hose connected to the port end to prevent kinking. Motor cranked right up, and I cut half an acre. Good thing I noticed those gas flow arrows on the back or I would have put it on backwards. No instructions came with it. You have to watch what you buy on the net.
@zedcartwright30375 ай бұрын
I just bought a new Kawasaki pump for $10 on Ebay and went to put it on and saw that there were gas directional arrows on the backside of the pump coming from the fuel tank port to the carb port. If I put the pump on with the vent line down my gas flow would be running in the wrong direction according to the arrows. So went to KZbin to check it out and saw your video. When you said at first you thought the pump went on in the opposite direction, but it went on the other way round then I realized I just needed to turn the pump around and attach it in the right direction. Then the arrows were on the front side of the pump and gas flow was correct. I thought maybe they had sent me a right- hand pump since RH was stamped on it and this pump is mounted on the left side of the engine. It would work turned in the opposite direction if I mounted it with the vent line upwards and bought a piece of hose to extend the vent line to the top. But all I needed was to turn the pump over and mount it. Thanks.
@zedcartwright30375 ай бұрын
I commented before going out to put the pump on. Apparently, this aftermarket pump is a right-hand pump or one that is mounted on the right side of the engine so when it is put on the right side of the engine, the vent vacuum line will be facing down and the directional gas flow arrows will be in the right direction from the tank port to the carb port. I tried mounting it on the left side of the engine turned around and it will not mount without shimming it out and using longer screws. The original pump looks like this one and when I put the new one over it the ports are in perfect alignment with the old one and the filter circle is to the outside like it is on the old one. Unless these directional arrows are wrong, I will have to mount it upside down with the vent vacuum side up and extend the vent hose from the bottom to the top side of the pump to attach it to the vacuum port.

I just replaced one on my Kubota that has the same set up, should be a direct fit replacement in the same spot with same orientation.
@zedcartwright30375 ай бұрын
@@McGo101 This pump is exactly the same as the original but if mounted on the left side of the motor as the original is the gas flow arrow from the tank side port is pointing toward the tank and the arrow going to the carb port. is pointing away from the carb toward the tank. The original does not have the arrows but these arrows should indicate gas flow direction. So, although this pump mounted in the same place is exactly like the original with the vacuum port facing down and a port to the left toward the tank and a port to the right going to the carb the gas flow arrows are backward. RH is stamped into the plastic which I assume means it is a pump meant to be mounted on the right side of the motor as I guess some are. I needed a LH pump. If I put the pump against the right side of the motor with the vacuum port down then the gas flow arrows are pointing in the right direction. So, this is a Right Hand pump orientated for right side of motor mounting. It will work on the left hand side if I turn the pump upside down with the vacuum port facing up and the arrows facing toward the carb Then connect a sleave to the vacuum line with a short piece of hose extended to the top of the pump to the vacuum port. Probably take some small copper tubing and bend it in a U shape so the top of the hose can be connected to another short hose to get the bend without kinking it.
