@@roybarratt5609 a fascinating bit of history I wasn't aware of and Kidderminster is in my neck of the woods! I was surprised the film was shot so quickly at just 2 years after it happened. What a great actor Donald Sumpter is, recognised him immediately 😊

Ok, first of all I’m not on crack but Psycho 2 is my favorite in the series…… the original is a better film, it’s Hitchcock after all, but the sequel is 1000 times better than it should be and it’s just plain fun😂👍

Lovely to see your beautiful cat at the beginning of the vid., my cat, Charlotte, passed about a month ago and I miss her like mad. Another great weekly watch, and I see An Inspector Calls is just having a new 4K and blu-ray release from Studio Canal (tomorrow, Monday 7 Oct), think I’ll add that to the collection

Thinking about Bette Davis, I saw her film, All About Eve on Criterion in my local branch of HMV. I also remember seeing Psycho on the big screen at the local theatre in my home town when we used to do a film festival. Great opportunity to be able to see that. Never seen the sequels since I thought the original is such an iconic film, I would never think it would be worth my time, Roy.

Great stuff, Roy. Good to see you continuing your Bette Davis kick. I know the films on the set you have now picked up and am sure you will have a good time with them. Thanks for bringing The Black Panther to my attention, I have found it on Tubi and will definitely watch. Would love to see An Inspector Calls, likewise read it at school and I did get to see a really excellent stage production but still not the film!

Hey Roy, that Bette Davis boxset must be one of your best charity shop finds for sure! I've only seen Now, Voyager for the next set you have and I thought it was fantastic. Clauide Rains and Davis together are a wonderful combination. I've wanted to see Black Panther for quite a long time, so glad to hear it's well worth a watch, though it sounds like a brutal one! Oddly enough even though I'm not big on horror, I've wanted to watch Byzantine for a long time too. Some Vampire films really connect with me like Only Lovers Left Alive and A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, so I wonder if this one might be among the ones that I'll enjoy. Also as you say, Gemma Arterton is fairly easy on the eye shall we say, so even if it's not for me, I'm sure that will make it more bearable! An Inspector Calls is definitely one that I need to get to. You can't go wrong with Alastair Sim, and 5 stars is a huge recommendation. A great week of watches!

Hello Warren indeed that boxset was a top purchase. I've discovered 6 fantastic films for the princely sum of £2. The Black Panther is well wow a couple of quid to stream on KZbin. I watched it and then watched a documentary and the film is extremely accurate. I still can't quite understand how I was familiar with the case before I watched the film. I watched half of A Girl Walks Home Alone late one night and never got back to it so I really must dig my disc out again. Give Byzantine a go. I think it may well surprise you.

Fantastic stuff Roy, you and the cat looking really relaxed. A lot of films I haven't seen as usual. Annabelle got mostly bad reviews although I don't think it is that bad compared to some films I have watched, Annabelle Creation a much better movie I think. Should take out a loan if you are gonna get popcorn and pop 🤣. Staying away from Leslie Nielsen and Bridgette Nielsen thanks Roy and keep up the good stuff

I thought The Black Panther was a really solid flick and I always remember liking Psycho 3 the most out of the sequels but it’s been years. Happy Sunday Roy.

The Annabelle films get better mate 👍🏻. what about Leslie Nielsen? 😅lol , psycho 2 is a good sequel 👌🏻, I need to watch Byzantium I own the Blu-ray gemma artteton 🤤, Alistair sim is fantastic I love him in Christmas carol 😍 nice watches mate 😻

Hi Roy, Fine watches Sir, really enjoyed the first two Conjuring movies & not seen beyond that or own them, so that box set might be worth getting. That’s a western I’ve not seen in years “A man called horse” which I can’t remember much, it’s one I might consider down the road. Not deep into the horror for this month? I’m the same which I watch a general mixture 😎👍

@eastwood4lifefan334 hello Carlos I have tried before to watch horror exclusively in October but got jaded with it after a few days. Much prefer a mixture of different things. A Man Called Horse is OK. Nothing to write home about in my opinion. I may check out the sequel and see where it goes.

Great shouts Roy. Been meaning to rewatch Audition for so long I really liked it but it was like 20 years ago wanna check it out again for some reason. 10 Rillington Place was a first time watch for me this year and it was class! Take care

McCabe and Mrs Miller--really nice soundtrack by Leonard Cohen, sort of wintery, western, so it could wait a bit, but yeah, pretty great western.

Hi Roy, Fine choices Sir, never watched "10 Rillington Place" a movie i"ve known about, "The Sixth Sense" i didn"t realise it til the end as well, "The Others" is highly underrated, "The Witch" i couldn"t get into, "Hereditary" i really liked but "Midsommar" i hated ! One of the best Korean movies i"ve seen "I saw the Devil" DAMN brutal, "The Fog" one of my Carpenter favourites, a mixture in this list, "Halloween & "Halloween 2" back to back !!! Great stuff.

Hello Carlos yes I do look at the first 2 Halloweens as one big movie. I do the same with the first 2 Rockys. I really liked Midsommar and contemplated including it. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who didn't pick up on The Sixth Sense. Hope you're doing well mate.

Hi Roy, I’ve not forgotten the tag you set me, it’s just my back issue has been an obstacle at the moment 😬 10 Rillington Place is a great movie 👌 nice to see some love for Francis Ford Coppola Dracula 🤔 I didn’t get the twist first time around in The Sixth Sense either mate, same with The Others 😆 I enjoyed Hereditary but thought it was a tad overhyped. Live Silence Of The Lambs, it’s a movie I could easily watch anytime. Cape Fear is so good, I was lucky enough to catch it on the big screen 👌I love The Fog (I quite enjoy the remake too) I watched The American Werewolf In London sequel a few weeks ago (the Paris one) I found it to be god awful 😬 nice one mate, Take care👍🎃👍

Some great films on your list Roy and a few i didn't know about, liked that you included Foreign language films in that list, don't own many myself but i do find a lot of them original unlike the American films.

A great mixture there, Roy and I liked that you included some which don’t always fall obviously into horror genre such as the excellent 10 Rillington Place. I was hoping I might find the Woman in Black in the CEX’s I was able to visit on my recent trip but alas no….Relieved to check IMDb and see Nick Nolte is still with us!
