is it normal for the pedal to become overwhelmingly noisy when the out setting is turned up?
@chrisreese2361Күн бұрын
If I were to get a tele, I would get the SH configuration with an option for splitting the humbucker. It’s more versatile than a traditional tele and you still get that twangy iconic bridge sound. A split humbucker in the bridge just doesn’t sound the same imo.
@HighImpaktAudio23 сағат бұрын
That absolutely adds more versatility for sure being able to split the coils. And it's funny, I didn't notice very much twang on this tele. Nothing like the strat haha 😄

Some of my favorites to play (rhythm) in Drop C: My Last Serenade - KSE The Plot To Bomb The Pan Handle - ADTR I'm Made of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of? - ADTR Your Way With Words (Is Through Silence) - ADTR Circles - Nonpoint Are You Dead Yet? - Children of Bodom (I WISH I could play the solos - nope) In Your Face! - Children of Bodom Greed - Godsmack Whatever - Godsmack Sick Of Life - Godsmack Faceless - Godsmack Re-Align - Godsmack Most of SOAD's Toxicity album, + Sugar Change (In The House Of Flies) - deftones The Only - Static-X Existence - SiM ...And yeah... Stricken - Disturbed I honestly suck at guitar. I know far more songs in drop C tuning on vocals, because I listen to a lot of bands that play in that tuning.

Why do guitarists need to tinker and mess with their gear all the time? Snobbery? This guitar in the clip for instance, why buy it in the first place if you apparently hate the sound?
@nicholasellrich35226 күн бұрын
Is there inherently a problem with changing things about instruments? You can like how a guitar looks and feels, but if the pickups aren't to your liking its completely reasonable to change them out- why do you think they sell pickups on the market? Its not snobbery on this guy's part- its foolishness on your's.
@cycomiles42256 күн бұрын
Why not? The guitar looks sick, feels great but pups are a bit meh...so why not change it? Are you saying that you would skip on a guitar that feels great and plays great? You can change the sound, you cant change the feel.
@GuyManley6 күн бұрын
Because guitarist are enthusiasts. Enthusiast customize their tools/gear/instruments/cars/pcs etc. And because it is relatively cheap and easy to do.
@bissemgill4756 күн бұрын
You feel a bit of a connection to the guitars you play so customizing them / modifying them is really fun
@stavrosk.28685 күн бұрын
To all the tinkering guitar mutilating snobs: your gullibility leads you to endlessly buy junk in the illusion that you can make a guitar better. Most if not all guitars are the result of top tier musicians and engineers and decades of experience. MAKE the guitar your own by playing MORE not by butchering it.

Wait till you have kids....amps out cradles in. I sold all of my gear to make cushion money for the babies...6 years later I've gotten back into playing and my collection is not the mesaboogie marshall, esp,prs it once was. I've got an ibanez baritone rgib21, an ibanez rga32t, a Mesa 2x12 cab. And an orange head. With a small(14) pedal collection. If I can instill the love of music in my children. That's all I want...I'm 40 now and will never be a Rockstar. But the love of metal compels me...merry Christmas brother. And congratulations on your marriage...remember this one thing. If momma ain't happy,no body is happy...

@crock2434 thank you my friend for the congratulations! Luckily neither of us want kids so I think my collection is safe for the time being. I am very lucky that she is so supportive of what I do here on HIA 😄 I hope youre able to bring great music into your kids life! Keep rocking dude!

The semihollow has a wicked, albeit somewhat conventional tone. The strat was the winner for me - raw, Clancy brutal, it will be heard in any kind of mix. The Tele was ok, not more, not less. Don’t care for the JM, woolly and fizzy sound there. I own a Squier Offset Paranormal Telecaster with EMG X pups and it absolutely rips, without any noise. So, metal on a standard „non-metal“ guitar? Any day, IMHO

Clearly you can see from the 3rd comment the issue isn't the fact you're playing metal, you just aren't using enough fingers. Rather than 2 fingers, try using 3
@HighImpaktAudio7 күн бұрын
My friend, i was definitely using 3 in this video 😆
@scottmh967 күн бұрын
@ then you've solved it 🤷🏻♂️ didn't need those 4 guitars, you can send them back now
@scottmh967 күн бұрын
Also I built a strat with a Fender roasted maple neck and a 12" radius and I'm pretty sure a charvel profile, loaded with instrumental pickups SFTY3s in it... Does that qualify for try playing it on a strat?
@HighImpaktAudio7 күн бұрын
@scottmh96 if it's a strat style body then I say it definitely qualifies haha. In this video i was wanting something as far out of my realm as possible so the slanted single coil seemed like the right fit. And I just wanted to troll the people that leave those comments 🤣

@HighImpaktAudio7 күн бұрын
I never really thought about whether these bands were american based or not lol these are just some bands that I've really enjoyed.
@WolfieboyMachi7 күн бұрын
@HighImpaktAudio It was more a reference to taste and how Americans tend to choose very different bands to showcase from what Europeans do. American metal KZbinrs tend to gravitate towards metalcore, nu Metal and djent specifically, so it's very obvious. Where as a European making a video like this would probably include bands like Children of Bodom, In Flames, At The Gates, and so forth. I didn't mean anything bad by it, though I now realize it might have come off that way.
@HighImpaktAudio7 күн бұрын
@WolfieboyMachi haha nah you're good there was no offense taken. 😄 I just never really thought about my choices in bands lol
@WolfieboyMachi7 күн бұрын
@HighImpaktAudio It's a natural consequence of geography. Different genres are popular in different places. In the US, it seems like the stereotypical "gateway drug" genre tends to be Nu Metal. In Europe, it tends to be Symphonic/Power Metal that serves that purpose. European bands also tend to use a lot more keys/synths compared to American bands, while American bands tend to be more groove oriented in their riffs than European bands are. These are not universal rules or anything of course, just general trends I've observed.
