my last ride was a mud mess in unexpected down pour of rain, lost the bike going up hill, couldn't get footing to pick up bike, sliding down hill, soaked muddy and running out of steam, as the gang below are cracking up YUK, remember GT when we were coming out of that cannon that was dark from tree cover(headlight beams bouncing everywhere and it was wet roots all the way up and out, great ride, long day, will never forget. Note: Bring extra batteries and a snack when riding with @Dirtable, sweet head stamp Bud, I think I see Jesus and a music note in it, lol

Slick mud is just horrible. I’ve got many buddies that ride it like it’s not even there but I can’t. I struggle.

Gooey mud, in a rut, wet root and panic braking. My fault. These cameras never give proper view of the terrain. It looks flat and boring. I promise, that’s not flat!

Good video, heading out to look through my kit. Teeaker tamer should be backed up with bear spray. Tweakers hate bear spray and it’s a lot less paperwork/ liability.

You can go down the medical rabbit hole but some foam Sam splint can help a lot with broken limbs. It usually comes packaged flat so fitting it in a pack would be really easy and for motorcycle repairs some foam covered metal wouldnt be bad to have. Most times I’ve ever been where shit went wrong riding was usually dislocated/broken bones. I also see those photos of impalement and thats in the back of my mind when i think worse case scenario while riding. In winter months its staying warm/dry is the first thing that i would address though. Old rule of thumb was the rule of 3’s. On average an average human can go 3 sec without any blood, 3 minutes without any air, 3 hours without shelter (in extreme conditions) 3 days without water, and 3 weeks without food generally before you die.

Where are you riding ? I ride solo in the mojave and some very remote places in Baja ( I live there ), it seems like what you forgot is an extraction plan, weather planning and a movement plan that sets stuff in motion if you stop moving for a specified amount of time without coms, these are probably more important than what you can fit in a backpack. Tools, basic first aid, hydration all necessary. Now the elephant in the room, and I am not anti, the last time I rode with a carry guy he shot himself. Many will say with a proper holster, and a safety it can't happen, that in a backpack coming off at 40 mph and cartwheeling changes things ...

I will not go riding solo besides on mountain trails close to busier roads have heard to many sad stories around here

Great kit! 👍 I like using the chewable electrolyte tabs so you don't need to gunk up water bladder and they are easier to get too. Good call on PB, I usually use some of those goo packs. I also always carry a cheap lightweight Frog Togs waterproof jacket depending on where you are riding. Out of curiosity, how do you carry your handgun?
@dirtabletv11 күн бұрын
I usually carry it in my backpack. I’m generally not worried about much when riding. Depended where I am. I’ve had it in my bar bag and thigh pocket as well.

Fantastic review!! I’m thinking about getting a 2025 300xc I rode the 2024 and fell in love instantly. The power and handling of the stock bike was so amazing I couldn’t stop smiling. I weight 165 with all my gear on and I think the suspension felt great no complaints at all. Tight single track in Massachusetts

Good choice! I’m a big fan of the XC and it can and does do well in the tight stuff. Go watch my riding videos. I’m geared at 13/50 and always in the green map. This bike will lug amazingly!

I’m 6’4” 240lbs and have been running on stock suspension until this weekend where it’s been worked on by factory connection, haven’t ridden the new suspension yet. I’m on a 2024 250xc. Coming from a life of Honda crf450’s. All I can say is this bike is amazing! The most fun and best riding motorcycle made at the moment. It’s light, flickable, responsive, and the power hit is a hoot. I don’t care if 450’s are more powerful or “faster”. I’m riding for fun, not pro, and this bike is where it’s at. I love Honda but I’ll have a hard time going back as long as these smokers are being built.
