Be interesting if they keep going. Not sure what could be next if they want to keep going. Be interesting if Max Velocity could translate over, but that would mean they'd have to compare Hot Violet to Blue Falcon....that feels wrong to say...let alone the vehicles that wont be carried...

i feel like the main ray balance takeaway is if you give it a small buff over the course of 4 laps, cumulatively there is going to be a difference. the community's litmus test of ray's buffs involves looking at its survivability in death wind I in knight league. it's a track that normally weeds out the rays in the hardest lobbies. if the ray has higher survivability in that circumstance, the buff has succeeded in helping ray drivers.

I had no idea they actually changed the meta a bit. I did notice that for some reason I was getting bumped not as hard as stingray after the update. It was like pathetically bad before hand, I remember when I was playing on Mirror Death Wind II as Stingray and I missed a jump pad at one of those 90 degree sharp chicanes and a frigging Wild Goose landed on top of me and grinded me into the wall taking my speed (I was boosting too btw) from 700 to 283 in <1 second. The WORST part was that I had already committed to cut off a corner with the jump pad in front of me so I just launched from that thing at <300 kmh and instantly blew up and crashed out of the GP. ; - ;

I would also welcome more true new vehicles, even though that would probably make balancing even more of a problem. But i would also be happy if they remain with the new models, but make their "skins" (sprites i guess) fully customizable. Like the old vehicles. Except for the lady shoe, that can remain pink forever, i won’t touch that even if they make it sparkle in 4D. 😉 What i am truly hoping for is even more new tracks. Mirror Ace league, and the ones you can see on YT, i believe it was for F-Zero 2. Metal Fort, Forest and that stuff. Oh and for the life of me, i can’t understand why they announce buffs for Stingray and don’t deliver them. It’s still horrible in full lobbies. It would need to actually get the announced 1.5 buffs, and probably gain more energy from Sparks to get more consistent skyways. That would probably fix the thing with Mute City eliminations in full lobbies finally, and make it so that drivers that make mistakes get eliminated, not drivers that pick the wrong car in selection!

Its weird that you talk about adding the BS vehicles to the game when they already added them as decals which can be seen in your video footage. IMO, they just aren't going to add true new vehicles because car balance is already on a delicate thread.

Would you be able to make a video explaining how to survive the Ace League? I feel like it would help a lot of newer players (myself included) unlock the new vehicle decals, as the lobbies for this league tend to fill up very fast.

Great video. Good job finding the lies/misunderstandings from Nintendo. Tbh the wild goose is and still is the best machine by far in races that are filled/nearly filled so I was pretty shocked to see it get buffed even if small (oh and go Yankees)

Why isn't anyone playing F-Zero 99 anymore? I could answer that question. It's an online version of F-Zero, a game from 30 years ago. Aside from the online play, there's nothing new or exciting about it. Now, I've got a new question: What would fans need to do to convince Nintendo to finally make a brand-new F-Zero title? Follow-up question: When will Nintendo re-release F-Zero GX & X so that they don't end up lost media as more Gamecubes and Gamecube DVDs stop working due to age?

the problem with this game is the higher tier players pretty much knocked out every other tier player from the game so they wont come back. so now you just keep racing against the same group of people.

Can you redo the super boost section using spinners on any mirror track during practice mode? I want more accurate data retaining to this, including length of skyway, how many sparks, etc.

I recently discovered that the FS is not the only way to measure distance. On the proximity view Map, the lighter and darker lines represent 100 meters (for you americans, that's 1/10th of a kilometer). The little green indicators on the side of the track measure in increments of 1km. Your proximity view map shows about 1 kilometer in front of and behind you. A little fact you did not know.

14:00 I knew it! I got tired of getting passed from behind by Blue Falcon's when I'm stingray and I hit the dash pad first at the pre-race area and I was always so confused as to how it was they passed me if it was not for some sort of built in faster higher top speed boost mechanism.

Imagine getting BSOD’ed, but it’s not CrowdStrike related… Would enjoy to see you upload your S attempts for Metroid whenever that stream does happen. It’s got some pretty difficult ones in there, especially Kraid and Ridley. The Legendary Challenge really isn’t that hard to do and gives a lot of leeway, but being able to melee Kraid and Ridley can take a lot of practice. I wouldn’t recommend using the typical Ice Beam strategy of freezing their projectiles, as it costs too many precious seconds to set up properly. You’re going into both fights with full energy tanks, so it’s a matter of dealing as much damage as possible in a short time frame while not sending missiles into their projectiles. Anyway, great stream as always!

Technically I was playing on the 1.4 update, but in one Grand Prix i managed to make it all the way to the victory podium, with the Blue Falcon, I'm not even that good at the game typically. 😂

Stingray top speed should be 500kmh, boost mechanics should go back to one per lap. 😉
