I noticed that there was a newer update on the page for 1.0.0 have you had any success with this one? PS, thanks again, your videos are always helpful, easy to follow and to the point.

Hey, thanks for the video...I see your power cable for the GPU comming from behind that fan. Is it just routed that way from the two connectors on the motherboard or is it connected somewhere else? I have problems with power for my gpu (bought from dqupgrades). As a solution I have the one to 8 pin from the motherboard and the 6pin powered via a sata to power cable, but still don´t have enough power it seems... . So now I´ve ordered a dual sata to 6pin power, in the hope to have enough combined with the one on the motherboard. But doing so I lose two sata connections ofcourse... . Elaborate question maybe, but if anyone could help... . Thx!

Huge update 1.5.0

Whelp... I'm in desperate need of help lol. I went to PRAM Reset, only chimed once, continued to hold down key combination until my hands started cramping (maybe ten minutes total?) And now I can't even get the computer to boot, just replaced the battery and fingers crossed.

what a pitty ! in your list, the AMD RX6600xt is not listed or ist ist an error ? Because I need my pic bus, I will only change my rx580 with the same size to a rx6600xt. And I thought, because of this Gop. I wouldn't need any further flashing and therefore a PC. Am I wrong or is it only the case with this one card variant that you also have to flash the card in a PC beforehand? My rx580 runs with Martin lo. Package 0.98. and I can already see a boot screen.

Hi Lance … Greetings from across the pond (U.K.) … To begin with thank you for your informative and helpful content which, as a current 5.1 owner are super useful to me … Based on your last video I’m now also on the point of purchasing the same spec 7.1 Mac Pro as the prices have dropped quite dramatically and, for me it represents the sweet spot in the range and, as you pointed out is highly customisable ! … I still intend to keep my old 5.1 as I can use it, in my rig with Vienna Ensemble Pro Server running on both machines because, as you rightly pointed out there’s little resale value in it but it will still run power hungry plugins with ease … Thanks again for your contributions to our community … All the best … Siobhan :)

Great video, but I have tried it twice and still no Bluetooth or Wifi. Do i need to undo the CSRUTIL DISABLE? or restore SIP? My Bluetooth hardware is Apple's. It's Monterrey 12.7.4, as suggested in your video. I already tried 12.7.5 with no change. I also restored the config plist to it's original settings. Any ideas?

I got one not long ago and it fast as, now getting into this small upgrades you have like Bluetooth and usbs will be game changing. thanks for the video.

After installing OC from scratch on my mac pro 5,1( running os mojave) I decided to update to Big sur, once I had it up and running i decided to turn SIP back on, however when i checked the csrutil status showed as Status : enabled (custome configuration) Apple internal : disabled Kext signing : disable File System P : disable Debugging R: enabled Dtrace R : enabled NVRam p : enabled Base system V : enabled Follow by ; this is an u supported configurTion likely to break in the future and leave your machine in an unknown state!! Whats all these mean, in simple english ? Should i be worried ? Thank you for your observations

Hi Lance, thank you so much for posting this. Between you and Hrutkay Mods, I too took the plunge and grabbed one of these from iPowerResale, Inc. It was delivered Friday. However, by the time I saw your video, the price had gone up considerably, so I waited a bit and grabbed one of the used A/B condition ones for $1,899 instead. However, although opened, I believe the machine I got was never used either. It is in great shape, much better shape than I anticipated for a used computer. It has only a couple minor scuffs. I opened the case, and lo! not a speck of dust to be seen. I then booted it up and it was running Monterey 12.0, which leads me to believe it was never used although it was opened. My thought, based on the OS version that was installed, is that it was perhaps manufactured in late 2022 or early 2023. The power cord was new in packaging. Overall, I am overjoyed with this purchase and iPowerResale, Inc. I will definitely buy from them again. the quick, very well packaged delivery across the county looked amazing when I received it in NY. Box was thick-walled and the computer was well protected with cut-to-fit foam protection. Great find! Thank you! P.S.: the timing was perfect because one of my graphics cards in my 6,1 decided to quit today, so I migrated it over to the 7,1. On the other hand, my 5,1 is still running strong with Monterey on OCLP. I have it sitting next to the 7,1 with the 6,1 on a shelf behind the two towers. I'll get the 6,1 fixed so I can continue to use it.

hello , is it possible to successful flashing the RX 6800 or 6900XT with MacBookpro 2019 under window 10 + Egpu ? or is it mandatory to use a PC?

My 2012 iMac had auto-update enabled, and it prompted me to restart the computer. The update wasn't from OpenCore but from Apple. Now, I'm no longer able to log in; it just shows the spinning wait cursor.

I have a 5,1 with 12 cores of CPU and 128GB of ram, and it cost me less than an entry level Mac Mini. I love it. ❤

Hey Lance, Do you have a STUDER Reel to Real ? or do you only record digitally? Years ago I used to repair the old reel to reels both audio and video. The old technology is still a lot fun and sounds a bit more mellow.

Mine already had pads on the sensors, and everything appears okay. I just tightened like other pc builds and my pc fired right up. I’ll just keep it on for tonight and test stability. I seen others say it could cause issues, but no more than any other heat sink and tightening incorrectly.

Oh boy, I put my 5,1 on ebay the other day and took it off cos I got so annoyed by all the low ballers. Thank god I didn't sell it. Filled up all the drive bays with HDDs and two SSDs, maxed out the RAM and now it's the best looking, most powerful NAS in town.

Hey Lance, FYI, after following your EnableGOP video on my 5,1, I finally moved from OCLP to Martin Lo's version. Sure enough there was something in it that OCLP didn't have that allowed my McFiver's 10G ethernet to work really well. I have a 10G fiber connection in my home with 10G routers and one 2.5G router. But with the OCLP, the ethernet only would get a little over 1G speeds. Now with Martin Lo's OC I got close to 6,000Mbps up and down on the direct 10G ethernet connection, but also still close to 2,500Mbps on the 2.5G router so it works really well. Oddly even the Sonnet 10G external thunderbolt adapter I use on my Mac Pro 2013 only gets 2,000~3,000Mbps on the direct 10G line. But I wanted to ask you, in one of your videos, I can't remember which one, you said that there was an issue with the McFiver. Some thing that I had to be careful about? When installing or reinstalling or else something else I can't remember. Can you think of what that might be?

Hi, I just cloned my Windows 10 to a M.2 PCIe NVMe with a cheap adapter put it into a 4X slot on my 5.1 mac pro and booted normally ? I tested the speed and its in the 1665. So that's seemed ok Played BF4 all night made a song in Cubase 13 Pro. Looks good. Boots normally on OCL with the picker. I then put back my OSX installation on my OWC Accelsior S with my regular SSD macOS 12 Monterey version and Hey I was surprised that everything works there too? Checked the speed of that one was around the normal 550 speed so Now I have everything on PCI and all good. Not sure what was the fuss about? Nothing like trying thing for yourself. So my conclusion is that the McFiver card would probably work fine for a double boot of Window and OSX. Have a good day and congratulation on your new mac pro 7.1 fantastic I'm sure. (O_O)

Hi there, the only reason I would consider an upgrade from Catalina to Ventura is that Logic Pro gets better, even with the newest update some days ago. Which Logic version is supported by your Monterey driven system?

On my MacPro 5.1, upgrading to Sonoma 14.5 resulted in the loss of WiFi network connectivity, AirDrop stopped working and only Bluetooth remained operational. I have already reinstalled the Root Patches and OpenCore several times, without success.
